Conference to honor outstanding people with revolutionary contributions and launch the "Repaying gratitude" Fund

Promoting the spirit of "When drinking water, remember its source", in recent times, departments, branches and localities have paid attention to taking care of, promptly and fully resolving policies for NCC and relatives of martyrs, war invalids and sick soldiers. In 2023, the province mobilized and contributed more than 2.8 billion VND to build the DODN Fund, thereby visiting and encouraging families of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, donating gratitude houses; supporting the repair of NCC houses with the revolution, works honoring martyrs, etc. Up to now, the whole province has 100% of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers being taken care of by units; 100% of communes and wards have done a good job in the work of war invalids and martyrs; 99.5% of NCC households have a standard of living equal to or higher than the average standard of living of local residents.

Along with the mobilization of the DODN Fund, all levels, sectors, the Front, organizations, agencies, units and enterprises have organized and participated in many practical gratitude activities such as: Sponsoring lonely martyrs' parents and orphaned martyrs' children; giving savings books of gratitude, taking care of wounded and sick soldiers in difficult circumstances. At the same time, creating conditions to help wounded and sick soldiers, martyrs' families and revolutionary veterans promote internal strength, overcome difficulties, strive to compete in studying, working, developing production and business, and contributing to building the homeland.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his deep gratitude to the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, heroes, war invalids, sick soldiers, and martyrs' families who have made great contributions to the cause of protecting and building the homeland and the country; highly appreciated the results achieved in the DODN movement in recent times.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee called on all levels, sectors, mass organizations, agencies, units, enterprises, and people of all walks of life to continue promoting the tradition of "remembering the source of drinking water" and better implementing the work of "remembering the source" through practical and specific actions. Continue to thoroughly grasp, focus on comprehensively and synchronously implementing solutions to better implement preferential regimes and policies for NCC with the revolution, especially promptly implementing Decree No. 77/2024/ND-CP of the Government on adjusting the standard level of subsidies and preferential allowances for NCC with the revolution; develop extensively and improve the quality of "remembering the source" movements and programs, support NCC to participate in economic development, and strive to stabilize their lives. He hoped that war invalids, sick soldiers, martyrs' relatives, and NCC with the revolution would continue to uphold their qualities and revolutionary ethics to continue building a rich and beautiful homeland.

Comrade Nguyen Long Bien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to outstanding NCC individuals.

On this occasion, agencies, units, businesses and individuals contributed more than 300 million VND to support the province's DODN fund. The Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 50 outstanding revolutionary NCCs in 2024.
