This morning, March 20, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department held the 12th Provincial Party Committee reporters' conference, term 2020 - 2025.

At the conference, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Nguyen Quoc Khanh informed about the topic: Developing Vietnam's cultural industries in a professional, modern, dynamic, creative, and highly competitive direction in the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.

Cultural industry (CNVH) has become a key economic sector of many countries in the world. CNVH includes areas that use creative capacity, cultural capital, closely combined with the application of technology and business skills, to create cultural products and services.

Currently, the Government has identified 12 areas of cultural industry: advertising, architecture, software and entertainment games, handicrafts, design, cinema, publishing, fashion, performing arts, fine arts, photography and exhibitions, television, radio and cultural tourism.

Developing the cultural and industrial sectors is one of the breakthrough steps to turn the country's aspirations into reality. This is an effective tool to turn culture into a driving force for socio-economic development, promoting a more competitive, diverse and effective economy, continuing to affirm Vietnam as an innovative and progressive society.

In the period from 2018 to 2022, the production value of Vietnam's cultural industries is estimated to reach 1,059 trillion VND (equivalent to 44 billion USD). In the past 5 years, the average growth rate in the number of economic establishments operating in the cultural industries reached 7.21%/year.

The general goal by 2030 is to develop Vietnam's cultural and industrial sectors into important service economic sectors, with clear development in quality and quantity, contributing positively to economic growth, job creation... At the same time, contributing to promoting the image of the country and Vietnamese people; establishing brands of cultural products and services; prioritizing the development of sectors with many advantages and potentials of Vietnam.

In the conference program, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Le Hong Son informed about the topic: Some outstanding results in the "Campaign to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" and in the movement "Joining hands for the poor, leaving no one behind"; the situation and results of implementing the policy of building social housing in the province in the past time and key tasks and solutions in the coming time.

By the end of 2023, the whole province had 69/101 communes meeting new rural standards (NTM), accounting for 68.3%. Of which, 9 communes met advanced NTM standards; the average criteria for the whole province was 15.8 criteria/commune (an increase of 1.7 criteria/commune, compared to the end of 2022); 4 extremely disadvantaged villages, villages in extremely disadvantaged communes in ethnic minority and mountainous areas met NTM village standards; 78 villages met model NTM village standards.

From 2004 to present, through State funding and social support sources, the entire Quang Tri province has supported the construction of over 23,000 houses for poor households and disadvantaged groups; built and repaired 12,835 houses for people with revolutionary contributions. In 2024, it is expected to mobilize resources to support the construction of over 500 "Great Unity" houses for poor households.

Orienting propaganda work in the coming time, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department requested the Propaganda Departments of districts, towns, and city Party Committees, and Party Committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee, reporters at all levels, and grassroots propagandists to focus on thoroughly grasping and propagating Directive No. 30-CT/TW dated February 5, 2024 of the Secretariat on oral propaganda work in the new situation; developing the cultural and industrial sectors in the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.

Propagating the results of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's working trip to attend the Special Summit to celebrate the 50th anniversary of ASEAN - Australia relations... Promoting propaganda about the country's socio-economic situation; commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory on May 7 (1954 - 2024); combating illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing.
