Thanh Hoa Provincial Lawyers Association promotes its role in building and criticizing policies and laws

On the morning of January 8, Thanh Hoa Provincial Lawyers Association held a conference to summarize the association's work in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025.

In 2024, the Bar Association at all levels in the province proactively developed programs and plans, and organized the good implementation of assigned political tasks.

The work of propagating, disseminating, educating and providing legal advice to officials and people is carried out in many rich, diverse and effective forms. Especially in propagating and disseminating newly issued legal documents and legal documents directly related to people's lives.

Comrade Le Van Dong, Provincial Party Committee member, Chief Prosecutor of the People's Procuracy, Chairman of the Provincial Lawyers Association spoke at the conference.

The work of participating in the development and criticism of policies and laws is carried out regularly, contributing positively to the development and improvement of legal policies. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Association directly contributes opinions to many draft laws; participates in criticism and contributes opinions to draft projects and legal documents of the province organized by the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations. The Lawyers Associations of districts, towns, cities, and affiliated lawyer associations contribute opinions to 189 draft legal documents of the Central Government and legal documents of People's Councils and People's Committees at all levels. The opinions and recommendations of the Lawyers Association are studied, recorded and highly appreciated by competent authorities.

The work of building, developing, consolidating, perfecting the association's organization and recruiting members has achieved remarkable results. In 2024, the Provincial Bar Association mobilized and recruited 350 members, bringing the total number of members to 2,548.

Vice President of the Provincial Lawyers Association Nguyen Thanh Hong presented the Summary Report of the Association's work in 2024, directions and tasks for 2025.

In 2025, the Provincial Bar Association has set out 8 key tasks and solutions to effectively carry out the tasks of developing members and building the association; law-making, scientific research; dissemination and education of law; legal advice, legal aid, mediation; supervision, social criticism, supervision of law implementation...

At the conference, lawyers discussed and shared practical experiences in their units, proposed and recommended solutions that need to be focused on in the coming time, competing to achieve achievements to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the Vietnam Lawyers Association (April 4, 1955 - April 4, 2025) and the Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Vietnam Lawyers Association, period 2025-2030.

The conference disseminated the operating regulations of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial Bar Association; and the operating regulations of the Inspection Committee of the Provincial Bar Association.

Comrade Le Van Dong, Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the People's Procuracy, Chairman of the Provincial Lawyers Association awarded Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Vietnam Lawyers Association to collectives and individuals.

Vice President of the Provincial Bar Association Bui Anh Linh awarded Certificates of Merit from the President of the Provincial Bar Association to collectives and individuals.

On this occasion, 6 groups and 6 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the President of the Vietnam Lawyers Association. The President of the Provincial Lawyers Association awarded Certificates of Merit to 11 groups and 19 individuals who had outstanding achievements in the association's activities in 2024.
