The "Golden Bell" quiz competition, theatrical performances promoting school violence prevention and child abuse prevention, and seminars sharing experiences were among the highlights of the forum for exchanging experiences and solutions to improve the quality of the "Leaders of Change" club model.

On November 10th, in Dong Xoai City, the Binh Phuoc Provincial Women's Union organized a forum to exchange experiences and share solutions to improve the quality of the "Leaders of Change" club model. This event aimed to implement Project 8 on "Implementing gender equality and addressing urgent issues for women and children," under the National Target Program for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, Phase I.

According to the Binh Phuoc Provincial Women's Union, the "Leaders of Change" Club was established with the goal of creating an environment for learning, self-development, and cultivating leadership skills for young people passionate about change and innovation. The model acts as a "training ground" for teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills, inspiring a strong desire for change in young people from ethnic minority communities. Through this, they have the opportunity to interact and learn from each other, and to affirm their self-worth.

Over the three years of implementing Project 8, the Binh Phuoc Provincial Women's Union has established nine "Leaders of Change" clubs. The activities of these clubs have become increasingly organized and in-depth, contributing to the dissemination of information and raising awareness about gender equality and children's rights in the ethnic minority areas of the locality.

However, during the implementation process, the clubs also faced many difficulties such as: challenges related to different geographical and cultural conditions, maintaining the enthusiasm of members, organizing effective activities, developing sustainable club models with widespread influence in the community... In order to help members of the "Leaders of Change" clubs have the opportunity to share experiences, discuss methods and overcome difficulties, the Binh Phuoc Women's Union organized a province-wide forum.

The clubs participated in the skit competition.

At the forum, club members participated in folk games, a "Golden Bell" quiz, a skit competition, and a discussion forum. Through these activities, members learned about children's rights, gender equality, teamwork skills, and the prevention of school violence and child abuse.

In particular, the "Exchange and Sharing Session on Solutions to Improve the Quality of the 'Leaders of Change' Club Model" was considered the highlight of the program. This is because, for people in ethnic minority areas, seeing and hearing are essential for building strong trust. Therefore, real-life stories from teachers in charge of the Youth Union, Women's Union officials, youth leaders at the grassroots level, and even the students in the Club's Executive Board and members helped students gain more confidence and determination to build their clubs more effectively.

At the seminar, the participating guests discussed several key solutions to improve the quality of the Leadership for Change Club, including: First, enhancing the community value of the club. This means the club should not only benefit individuals but also the entire community, creating an environment for students to develop leadership, communication, and social integration skills. Second, methods are needed to attract student participation through diverse, creative activities that suit their needs and interests. Third, club meetings should create a friendly atmosphere, encourage creativity, and foster the ideas of members. Fourth, strengthening the role of members, especially those in the Executive Board. Furthermore, soliciting support from the community, such as parents or social organizations, is also considered a key factor for sustainable development.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Truc, Vice President of the Binh Phuoc Provincial Women's Union, said: "Today's forum is not only a theoretical discussion but also a playground for the girls to share their stories and practical experiences. I believe that through each story shared, the girls will find inspiration, good and creative solutions to apply to their club activities. I hope that the knowledge and skills they gain from the forum will be applied to their daily lives, contributing to creating positive changes in their families and communities."
