In the 2024-2025 school year, Ho Chi Minh City has 36 high schools registering to recruit additional 10th grade students with 2,203 targets.
Initial records show that at these schools, some units have received more applications than the remaining quota.

Dao Son Tay High School (Thu Duc City) received 64/60 applications for admission.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Loan (Hoc Mon district) said that she is very worried and nervous about her sister's additional admission results. Previously, Ms. Loan had submitted her sister's application to Le Thi Hong Gam High School.
"Le Thi Hong Gam High School accepts applications from candidates with 15 points or more, my brother got 15.5 points. Hearing that many people applied here made me quite worried," said Ms. Loan.
Ms. Loan said that if she fails to pass the exam, she will send her child to a continuing education center or vocational school.
Ms. Lan Chi (Hoc Mon district) shared that she has submitted an additional application for her child to An Nhon Tay High School (Cu Chi district).
The admission score for An Nhon Tay High School is 11.5 points. The remaining quota is 140.
"Before submitting, I researched and heard information from some teachers that the number of applications to this school had not exceeded the quota, so I was quite confident and hoped that my child would be accepted to study at a public high school," said Ms. Lan Chi.
It is known that An Nhon Tay High School has received more than 100 applications for additional admission.
Previously, on July 21, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City announced a list of 36 public high schools that are still lacking enrollment quotas and will conduct additional recruitment in the 2024-2025 school year.
