The image of motorbikes and small trucks carrying flowers from the flower market on the Hoi Phu stream embankment, Nguyen Van Cu street and flower-selling areas along major roads in Pleiku city, spreading throughout the streets, makes the Tet atmosphere even more bustling.

Mr. Le Van Son (Group 7, Ia Kring Ward, Pleiku City) carefully placed the flower pots on the back of a small truck before departure. From the flower market, he will bring the flower pots carrying spring to families. Mr. Son said that for more than 10 years, he has been transporting Tet flowers from spring flower markets. The closer to Tet, the more work there is, having to drive day and night to deliver the flowers on time. The flower pots are very heavy, but he is still meticulous and careful when carrying them to ensure that they are delivered to the buyer in intact and fresh condition.

The work is hard and tiring, but Mr. Son is always happy with the job of bringing the colors of Spring to every home. He shared: “Not only does it bring joy to every home, the income from each trip of transporting Tet flowers is also better than usual, helping my family have a more fulfilling Tet. Seeing the pots of fresh flowers delivered to the buyer's family, beautifying their family's Tet, I feel as happy as if it were my own Tet.”

Seeing the drivers transporting flowers for hire carefully handling each potted flower, one can understand the saying: "handle like holding an egg, hold like holding a flower". They have to tie them very carefully so that the flowers remain fresh during the transportation in the cold weather. Mr. Nguyen Van Xuan (Group 2, Hoi Phu Ward, Pleiku City) said: he transports flowers for hire by motorbike, so even though customers rush him and there is a lot of work, he is always careful.

“I have been transporting flowers since the flower market opened, 5-7 trips a day. No matter how rushed I am, I always walk carefully, so people love me. The closer it gets to the end of the year, the more people call me. There are many big flower pots that cannot be carried by motorbike, so I let them be transported by truck. As long as the flowers reach the buyer on time, I am happy as a transporter,” Mr. Xuan added.

There are also many drivers who stay up all night with Tet flower stalls to serve customers 24/7 like Mr. Truong Du (Group 3, Tay Son Ward, Pleiku City). His family's situation is very difficult when his wife has complications from diabetes that blur one eye. Tet is approaching, his wife is bedridden, and he has to work hard to make a living during Tet. However, Mr. Du is still optimistic: "Every day I only sleep 3-4 hours, trying to transport flowers anytime, anywhere. Transporting flowers on the last day of the year gives me a little extra luck to welcome Tet. Hopefully, the new year will bring more favorable and smooth work."

Thanks to the diligence of the flower drivers, each pot of apricot blossom, peach blossom branch, basket of chrysanthemum or bouquet of fresh lilies is delivered to each house, contributing to the beauty of each house and street corner, bringing the warm and vibrant atmosphere of Spring. Flowers are not only a commodity but also symbolize luck, fortune and joy in the new year. Therefore, the image of flower trucks throughout the streets also has a special meaning.

Ms. Vo Thi Hong Quyen (Group 6, Dien Hong Ward, Pleiku City) shared: “Every year, I visit the flower market when Tet comes, Spring comes to choose the right flower pots for my family. Bringing the spring flower pots home is a problem if there are no flower carriers for hire. Every time they bring the fresh flower pots home, I see joy in their eyes. Perhaps they feel the meaning of their job is not only to carry flowers but also to carry hope and the Tet atmosphere to each family.”
