Chau Thanh District Youth Union: Many years of leading the emulation movement of the Youth Union and children's movement

Over the years, the Chau Thanh District Youth Union has built and implemented many good models and creative methods to improve the effectiveness of the work of protecting, caring for and educating children; thereby, creating a favorable environment for students to strive to become "Good children, good students, good team members, good children of Uncle Ho".

Chau Thanh District Youth Union is managing 15 commune and town youth union councils and 42 primary and secondary school youth union unions with more than 18,000 youth union members and children. Determining that the Youth Union work and children's movement play an important role in improving the quality of comprehensive education for teenagers and children, Chau Thanh District Youth Union always strives to build a joyful and healthy environment for children to study and practice.

In particular, from 2018-2024, Chau Thanh District Youth Union and Youth Unions of communes, towns, and Unions mobilized to give gifts and scholarships to poor children who have overcome difficulties, orphaned children, and helped children in difficult circumstances with a total amount of more than 7 billion VND.

The movement "Chau Thanh children compete to follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings" was effectively implemented by the District Youth Union Council and Youth Union bases with many creative ways, concretized by meaningful tasks, attracting a large number of children to participate, creating a good environment for them to compete, practice and grow up.

Award scholarships to disadvantaged children in the district.

Through the movement, the team members and children of the district have competed to study well, practice well, achieving more than 114,000 good students; 38,155 pairs of friends progressing together. In addition, the children also actively participated in the "Small Plan" movement, the "Thousand Good Deeds" movement, cultural and artistic movements, physical education and sports to improve health, develop talents and achieve many high achievements. Thereby, contributing to improving the quality of education, study and Team activities in schools.

Continuing to promote the campaign "For beloved juniors", the unit regularly organizes the awarding of scholarships, gifts, notebooks, books and sponsorship for poor students to help them overcome difficulties in studying and living; advises the Standing Committee of the District Youth Union to mobilize the construction and repair of 10 free game clusters, worth more than 300 million VND; hands over 14 Red Scarf houses to poor students overcoming difficulties, worth nearly 1 billion VND; hands over 6 reading, interaction and Team activity spaces worth more than 100 million VND.

Coordinate medical examination and gift giving for disadvantaged children in border communes.

Every year, on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the District and Commune Youth Unions and the School Youth Unions have mobilized to organize the program "Mid-Autumn Festival for Children" through many activities such as: lantern pasting contest, fashion shows, organizing game booths, food booths, awarding scholarships, moon cakes, school supplies... to children with a total cost of more than 6.2 billion VND.

Chau Thanh District Youth Union has been effectively implementing models such as: Trash bin of love, Historical corridor, Chau Thanh children - Moving forward under the Youth Union flag, A moral story every month, I love folk games.

Through the models, children have a useful playground, practice skills, develop creative thinking and arouse their passion for learning. From the practical activities of the movement, there have been many examples of young team members and children doing many good deeds, overcoming difficult circumstances, rising up in life and typical examples of good study, good behavior, and many contributions to the children's movement activities of the district.

Chau Thanh district organizes Mid-Autumn Festival for children.

Propaganda activities, traditional education, major holidays and anniversaries of the year, glorious traditions of the Party, the nation, the Youth Union, the Young Pioneers, school traditions, and local traditions are carried out by the Young Pioneers through various forms.

Mr. Le Ngoc Minh Hung - Chairman of Chau Thanh District Youth Union Council said: "The activities of Chau Thanh Children's Union Council have achieved many remarkable results in recent times. The movements, activities and models all aim to create a friendly environment and foster and train the skills and moral qualities of team members and students.

The achieved results will be the premise and motivation for the District Youth Union to continue to be creative and flexible in implementing movements and campaigns, as well as constantly improving and building good models."

Chau Thanh District Youth Union Council was awarded the flag by the Provincial People's Committee as the leading unit in the emulation movement in Youth Union work, school year 2023-2024.

With efforts and striving in work, Chau Thanh District Youth Union Council has excellently led the emulation movement of Youth Union work and children's movement in 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 and received many certificates of merit from the Central Youth Union Standing Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee for its outstanding achievements in the Youth Union work and children's movement of Tay Ninh province.
