At 3:00 p.m. today (July 3), the first meeting of the Vietnam ESG Forum 2024 High-Level Council took place.
During the meeting, the members of the High-Level Council will discuss and give opinions on the roadmap and framework of the Vietnam ESG Forum 2024. In addition, the High-Level Council of the Vietnam ESG Forum will also discuss and make recommendations on the ESG standards set.
Currently, the Vietnam ESG Forum High-Level Council has 10 members, including:
1. Associate Professor, Dr. Ho Sy Hung - Vice Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises.
2. Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Dinh Tho - Director of the Institute of Strategy and Policy on Natural Resources and Environment (Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment).
3. Professor Nguyen Duc Khuong - Executive Director of EMLV Business School, France; Chairman of the Association of Vietnamese Scientists and Experts Global (AVSE Global).
4. Mr. Giando Zappia - Chairman of the EuroCham Sustainable Finance Sector Committee, Chairman of Aquila.is.
5. Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Duc Trung - Principal of Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City.
6. Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa - General Director of FPT Corporation, Chairman of Vietnam Software and IT Services Association, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association, Vice Chairman of ASOCO.
7. Dr. Bui Thanh Minh - Deputy Director of Professional Affairs, Office of Private Economic Development Research Board (Board IV)
8. Mr. Nguyen Duc Minh - Vice Chairman of Hanoi Association of Key Industrial Products Manufacturing Enterprises (HAMI)
9. Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Ngoc - Permanent Deputy General Director of Deloitte Vietnam.
10. Dr. Le Thai Ha - Executive Director of Vinfuture Foundation, Executive Director of Green Future Fund.

Previously, Dan Tri Newspaper organized the Launching Ceremony of the Vietnam ESG Forum. This is also the first time in Vietnam that a press agency has organized a large-scale, national-level event on the topic of ESG - a topic that is receiving a lot of attention worldwide as well as in our country.
The above launching ceremony is the beginning of a series of activities organized by Dan Tri Newspaper throughout 2024, including:
Seminars and workshops on ESG, aiming to increase awareness and knowledge about ESG for the Vietnamese business community.
Analyze and evaluate the implementation status and ESG standards in Vietnam, thereby proposing appropriate solutions and development directions.
Building a community to share experiences, learn and promote sustainable business development.
The highlight of the Vietnam ESG Forum will be the annual ceremony to honor organizations and units aiming for sustainable development.
Regarding the Vietnam ESG Forum High-Level Council, in the spirit of commitment to operate effectively, transparently and responsibly, contributing to promoting sustainable development in Vietnam, the Council is responsible for providing strategic direction for the Forum, including determining the Forum's goals, vision and mission, developing a long-term development strategy and orienting the Forum's key activities.
In addition, the Council supports connection and cooperation between stakeholders in the ESG field; participates in activities to promote sustainable development in Vietnam; raises awareness of the importance of ESG in the business and investor community and contributes to building an ESG ecosystem in Vietnam.
The Council is also tasked with promoting awareness of the importance of ESG in business and investment; sharing practical experiences and innovative solutions for sustainable development; and participating in activities to promote sustainable development in Vietnam.
Council members are prestigious and influential individuals in the ESG field, invited by the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam ESG Forum to participate and commit to contributing to the development of the Forum.
