Vietnam Cinema Association requests the Ministry of Public Security to intervene in the Quyen Linh case

Quyen Linh sent a petition to the Vietnam Cinema Association.

Speaking to Thanh Nien , a representative of the Vietnam Cinema Association said that on April 21, Chairman of the Vietnam Cinema Association Do Lenh Hung Tu sent document No. 87/HDA to the Department of Internal Political Security (A03) and the Department of Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention (A05), Ministry of Public Security regarding the incident related to artist Quyen Linh. The above document was also sent by the Vietnam Cinema Association to the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, the Central Propaganda and Education Commission and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Accordingly, the leader of the Vietnam Cinema Association said that on April 17, this unit received a request from a member, Mr. Mai Huyen Linh (aka MC Quyen Linh) - Vice President of the Vietnam Cinema Association, reporting that he and his family, including two teenage daughters, were being attacked by some individuals using social networks and requested the Association to protect them.

According to the petition, Quyen Linh believes that the actions of these individuals (cutting and pasting old images of Quyen Linh to create a connection between the artist and the fake milk advertisement in the case that is currently "stirring up" public opinion and spreading it on social networks) show signs of violating the law, seriously infringing on Quyen Linh's dignity, honor, and personal reputation and negatively affecting his family's life.

Previously, the male MC said he was collecting evidence, making records of false content to complete the file, and sending it to the competent authorities for consideration and handling.

The Vietnam Cinema Association believes that, with the responsibility of a professional organization in protecting the legitimate rights and interests of its members as approved by the Association's Charter by the competent authority, the Vietnam Cinema Association requests the Department of Internal Political Security and the Department of Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention - Ministry of Public Security to consider and take measures to handle individuals who violate the law.

Quyen Linh speaks out about the milk advertisement

Previously, MC Quyen Linh posted an article clarifying the milk advertising controversy. The male MC said that when the case of nearly 600 types of fake milk powder was discovered and handled, some false content appeared, deliberately attaching his image, spreading misleading information. Regarding this information, Quyen Linh frankly said: "Currently, I am completely unrelated to any product in this case. The information being spread is false."

The male MC added that to protect his reputation and legitimate rights, he took steps in accordance with legal regulations such as collecting evidence, making records of false content to complete the dossier, and sending it to the competent authorities for consideration and handling.

Quyen Linh said he had collaborated to introduce 2 milk products, the contract had ended a long time ago. The male MC said that many people had arbitrarily edited audio from old clips to promote medicine and food products of unknown origin, causing misunderstandings. "Since 2023, I have pinned a warning at the top of the page about being impersonated to advertise products of unknown origin. For that reason, I have proactively stopped all related cooperation," he emphasized.
