Talks on exchanging media experiences between Quang Tri and Savannakhet provinces

QTO - Implementing the minutes of the Conference on trade, investment, tourism , labor and communication cooperation between the three provinces: Quang Tri (Vietnam) - Savannakhet (Laos) - Mukdahan (Kingdom of Thailand) for the period 2022-2024, this morning, November 16, in Savannakhet province, a meeting was held to exchange experiences and cooperate in communication between the Department of Information, Culture and Tourism of Savannakhet province and the Department of Information and Communication of Quang Tri.

The delegation of Savannakhet province was led by Director of the Department of Information, Culture and Tourism Phulsisoi Kutilath, along with leaders of Savanh Phathana Newspaper, Savannakhet Provincial Radio and Television Station; the delegation of Quang Tri province was led by Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications Nguyen Hoan, along with leaders of Quang Tri Newspaper, Provincial Radio and Television Station, Cua Viet Magazine, and representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs attended the talks.

At the meeting, the two sides provided some information on the media, press and publishing work of each province, and evaluated the results of implementing media cooperation agreements in recent years.

Accordingly, implementing the minutes of the Conference on trade, investment, tourism, labor and media cooperation of the three provinces of Quang Tri - Savannakhet - Mukdahan held in Dong Ha city, Quang Tri province from June 23 - 25, 2022, Quang Tri province and Savannakhet province have had many positive activities, creating favorable conditions to promote cooperation, including in the field of media.

Regularly provide each other with important content related to communication work. Strengthen cooperation in exchanging information on international situations, potential advantages in trade and tourism development between provinces.

Speaking at the meeting, Director of the Department of Information, Culture and Tourism of Savannakhet Province Phulsisoi Kutilath hoped that based on the minutes of the Conference on trade, investment, tourism, labor and media cooperation between the three provinces: Quang Tri (Vietnam) - Savannakhet (Laos) - Mukdahan (Kingdom of Thailand) for the period 2022-2024 and the minutes of this meeting, the two sides would continue to cooperate more closely in the field of media, support each other for mutual development; at the same time, through media cooperation, promote tourism development of the two provinces.

Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Quang Tri Nguyen Hoan affirmed that the media must be one step ahead to promote economic development, tourism... Therefore, after the cooperation agreement was signed, the two sides urgently implemented the specific contents, so that more and more media products are posted and broadcast on the media channels of both sides. Thereby contributing to promoting the cooperation activities in the fields of the two provinces and the two countries to develop more and more.

Based on the opinions discussed and exchanged at the meeting, the two sides agreed on the contents of cooperation in the coming time, including: Continuing to strengthen communication cooperation, promoting and introducing the history and culture of the land and people; information on the policies, potentials and advantages of each province and each country in calling for and attracting investment; on the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two provinces...

Compile publications and television reports to disseminate policies and guidelines of each country, promote the land, people, potentials and advantages of the two provinces, and the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two provinces in the following languages: Vietnamese, English, Lao... for dissemination in the press of the two provinces.

Media content is expressed through press works (printed newspapers, electronic newspapers) compiled by both parties in written text, still images, animations, graphics, audio in the following languages: Vietnamese, English, Lao (2 works/month/unit).

At the same time, promote communication activities between media agencies, including communication via radio, television, press and online media.

Activities such as exchanging articles, information, documents and experiences in the field of communication will be organized to enhance understanding of the country, people, culture and history of each province.

This is to further strengthen cooperation in information and communication, to bring information to television channels about the activities of the two countries, to create a close connection in information between the countries. This is an opportunity for journalists to learn, exchange and improve their knowledge of communication to serve their press activities.

On this occasion, leaders of the Department of Information and Communications, Quang Tri Newspaper, and the Provincial Radio and Television Station presented gifts of friendship to the Department of Information, Culture and Tourism, Savanh Phathana Newspaper, and Savannakhet Provincial Radio and Television Station. Quang Tri Newspaper presented Savanh Phathana Newspaper with some special publications of Quang Tri Newspaper published in recent times.

During the working program in Laos, the delegation of Quang Tri province visited Savanh Phathana Newspaper, Savannakhet Provincial Radio and Television Station; visited famous relics of Savannakhet province such as: That Inghang, Dinosaur Museum, Kaysone Phomvihane Park...
