Talks between the Department of Justice of Ha Giang province and the Department of Justice of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China

BHG - On the afternoon of April 22, in Ha Giang city, a meeting was held between the delegation of the Department of Justice of Ha Giang province (Vietnam) and the delegation of the Department of Justice of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China) to specify the content of judicial cooperation in the coming time. Attending the meeting were Mr. Truong Huy Huan, Director of the Department of Justice of Ha Giang province; Mr. Ly Dao Quan, Director of the Department of Justice of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China.

In the spirit of openness, cooperation and friendship, at the meeting, the two sides discussed issues related to: Propaganda and dissemination of laws in border areas; coordination in providing legal support services and legal advice to border residents in the fields of civil transactions, marriage and family; and mechanisms for long-term friendly cooperation and exchange.

The leaders of the Department of Justice of Ha Giang province and the Department of Justice of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region agreed to actively participate in activities between the two sides to strengthen mutual support and cooperation as well as promote the implementation of the "Agreement on organizing the first conference between judicial agencies of provinces sharing the Vietnam - China border" signed on April 19, 2024 between the two countries' Ministries of Justice. Continue to effectively implement the Agreement on mutual legal assistance in civil and criminal matters, regulations on exemption and reduction of court fees and legal aid signed by the two countries. Coordinate in disseminating information in border areas about the laws of Vietnam - China and related documents to border residents and visitors entering and exiting the country; coordinate in providing judicial administrative services to the functional agencies of the two sides to deploy the construction of smart border gates. Strengthen information exchange and experience sharing on judicial administration in accordance with the legal provisions of each country and approved by competent authorities.
