To support families affected by storms and floods after storm No. 3, Red Cross chapters at all levels have urgently deployed response work and provided support to local people.

Encourage and support victims of Phong Chau bridge collapse

The Red Cross at all levels has urgently deployed response and recovery work for the damage caused by the storm. In particular, the Red Cross at districts, cities and towns has coordinated with the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue at districts to inspect the damage, propose solutions to the impact of the storm; mobilize volunteers to support households to overcome the consequences caused by the storm. The Red Cross at all levels has also visited, encouraged and supported the victims of the Phong Chau bridge collapse in Tam Nong, Lam Thao and Thanh Thuy districts; supported the families of victims who died due to landslides in Tu Hiep commune, Ha Hoa district.

In addition, grassroots organizations, volunteer groups and clubs have mobilized material resources, consulted with affected families, supported students in moving and staying; supported functional forces to perform tasks at both ends of Phong Chau bridge, and Ha Hoa, Lam Thao, Tam Nong, Cam Khe, Doan Hung districts, Viet Tri City, ... The total preliminary support value is over 1 billion VND.
