With the advantage of a length of more than 7km, Hoi An beach is not only important for its strategic location but also famous for its beautiful beaches. Identifying this as an important tourism resource, the city government and coastal localities have invested in upgrading infrastructure, expanding space, and diversifying service types to create continuous and synchronous development with the World Cultural Heritage of Hoi An ancient town, forming an important economic dynamic area.
Mr. Le Thanh Cong - Vice Chairman of Cam An Ward People's Committee said that along with the city's attention, the locality also took advantage of resources to invest in infrastructure at beaches to serve tourists.
“In the past, we have invested in public freshwater bathing areas and equipped them with free wifi networks. Along with that, we have focused on strengthening the human resources at the beach (security, lifeguard, beach cleaning team, etc.); at the same time, we have focused on rectifying and rearranging business order, distributing business households to both ensure the landscape and create convenience for tourists when coming to the beach,” said Mr. Cong.
Except for the period heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, coastal tourism projects in Cam An and Cua Dai have increased in both quantity and scale and are recovering operations, gradually bringing high efficiency.
The construction projects of technical infrastructure and resettlement areas are also gradually being completed, so these coastal wards have more favorable conditions to develop and create new changes.
In particular, the type of villa and homestay accommodation services along the coast is developing rapidly, creating jobs for many workers and creating stable income for people in the surrounding areas thanks to accompanying services.
Mr. Tran Anh - Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council said: "Hoi An maximizes the potential of the coastal economic zone by expanding planning, focusing on investing in coastal parks and new tourist beaches.
