Army Academy opens new school year with many students from abroad

On September 13, the Army Academy (located in Da Lat City, Lam Dong) opened the new school year 2024-2025 with nearly 1,200 students from units throughout the army and from the Lao People's Democratic Republic Army and the Royal Cambodian Army coming to study and train at the academy.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh gave a speech at the opening ceremony.

Attending the opening ceremony were Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA), leaders of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee.

Lieutenant General Do Minh Xuong, Director of the Army Academy, informed that in the 2023-2024 school year, the Army Academy completed its educational, training and scientific research tasks with 100% of students in position-based and postgraduate training courses graduating, with the good and excellent rate reaching 99.7%.

In the 2024-2025 school year, the academy is determined to improve the quality of education, training, and scientific research; build a team of cadres and lecturers with sufficient quantity and quality; take care to build a clean, strong, and exemplary academy Party Committee, and a comprehensively strong academy.

In his speech, Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh, on behalf of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and the General Staff, wished all lecturers, students, and soldiers of the Army Academy to enter the new school year with confidence and excitement, and to successfully complete all tasks, especially training, education, and scientific research tasks, contributing to building a strong, compact, and elite army; creating a solid foundation for building a regular, elite, and modern army.

This school year, nearly 1,200 students from units across the army came to study.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh emphasized that the Army Academy needs to implement well the motto "the quality of the school's training is the combat readiness of the unit"; implement the three essentials of "substantial teaching, substantial learning, and substantial testing and evaluation". "After graduating, students must be exemplary in political qualities, have comprehensive knowledge, good leadership, command, and advisory capacity, and meet the requirements of assigned duties and responsibilities.
