Organizing annual scientific conferences and participating in national and international scientific conferences is one of the regular academic activities of a university, which is important in updating and exchanging scientific information; at the same time, it is also a place to report and share the latest research results of staff, lecturers, students and pupils to promote the scientific research movement and improve scientific publications, thereby enhancing the position of a university or a research unit.
The year 2025 marks the 20th time the Military Technical Academy has organized a Scientific Conference for Young Researchers. The Academy first organized this conference in 2005 with the aim of creating a scientific forum for young scientists so that lecturers, young researchers, graduate students and postgraduate students can present their research results and, at the same time, gain more experience when reporting a scientific issue to a professional council.
The conference is also a place to exchange information and create conditions for young researchers to receive comments and feedback from experts and senior scientists to improve their research results as well as more clearly define their future research direction.
Speaking at the conference, Lieutenant General Le Minh Thai, Director of the Military Technical Academy, said that the 20th Scientific Conference for Young Researchers this year, the Organizing Committee of the conference received 289 full-text articles from authors who are cadres, lecturers, researchers, and postgraduate students of training institutions and research institutes inside and outside the Academy registered to attend the conference. Through reviewing the meeting of the conference criteria, the quality of the content and form of the full-text articles registered to attend, the Conference Program Committee agreed to send 289 full-text articles to seek the opinions of reviewers. As a result, 252 full-text articles were approved by reviewers to be reported at the subcommittee sessions of the conference.
In the plenary session, the Academy invited young scientists to report on in-depth research directions in areas that are currently of great interest and are encouraged and promoted for research and investment by the State and the Army, such as: Key issues in UAV calculation and design; trends in technology development and applications in command automation; artificial intelligence and applications in telecommunications electronics; applications of mathematics and AI in new-generation biotechnology; effective implementation of AI computing acceleration hardware at the edge; IoT device fault injection attacks: Risks and reinforcement solutions; estimating vital signs using non-contact sensors.
According to Lieutenant General Le Minh Thai, for the Scientific Conference of Young Researchers, in the coming time, the Academy will expand the participants to young scientists and postgraduate students from training institutions inside and outside the Army. The method and time of organizing the conference will be increasingly standardized according to the way of organizing scientific conferences domestically and internationally...
