On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics inaugurated a smart governance model and launched a digital education platform to serve officials, civil servants, and lecturers; software to manage digital signatures of diplomas and certificates of the Academy.

Directing the Conference and launching the "Digital Education for the People" movement, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang stated that digital transformation is a revolution, bringing about profound changes to change the approach to thinking, especially in developing new productive forces, production relations adapting to these changes. This is also associated with many unprecedented advances in science and technology, developing very strongly, especially artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, big data, cloud computing...

In recent times, the Party and State have issued many guidelines, policies, and laws to build a digital foundation and promote comprehensive digital transformation. Digital transformation has been involved in all aspects of the country's activities, from politics, economics to culture and society. In September 2024, the United Nations announced that Vietnam rose to 71st place in the e-Government rankings, up 15 places compared to 2022. This is the first time Vietnam has been ranked in the group with a "Very High" e-Government Development Index (EGDI), achieving the e-Government ranking target in 2024.

In particular, Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo has identified that developing science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation are the top important breakthroughs and the main driving force to rapidly develop modern productive forces, perfect production relations, innovate national governance methods, develop the socio-economy, prevent the risk of falling behind, and bring the country to breakthrough development and prosperity in the new era.

Thoroughly grasping and realizing the guidelines, policies, and laws of the Party and the State, the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics have paid special attention to leading, directing, and synchronizing digital transformation activities and applying information technology. The Academy has proactively issued regulations and rules in deploying, implementing investment, and operating technology systems and digital transformation to serve management, operations, training, and scientific research activities to meet the increasingly high requirements of the Party and the State.

In order to systematically, comprehensively and comprehensively evaluate digital transformation activities and promote the implementation of the "Digital Popular Education" movement throughout the system of training institutions, political theory and administrative research of the Party at the Central and local levels, at this conference, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang requested cadres, lecturers of the Academy and political schools to raise awareness of the "Digital Popular Education" movement, digital transformation activities for cadres, civil servants and workers throughout the Academy system and Political Schools of provinces and centrally run cities.

“This is a task that must be carried out regularly and continuously and is currently only at the beginning. It is not only necessary to launch a movement but also to strengthen inspection, supervision, urging, and evaluation of implementation results,” emphasized Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Nguyen Xuan Thang.

According to the Summary Report on Digital Transformation and Information Technology Application of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics in the period of 2020-2025, and the direction and tasks for the period of 2025-2030, the application of information technology and digital transformation activities at the Academy have gradually integrated digital technology and the Internet to improve the quality of teaching, learning and management, including updating teaching methods, applying science and technology to lectures and gradually creating a "soft management" environment, creating a modern, flexible, public and transparent learning environment in all training systems at the Academy, meeting the requirements of the digital age and international integration.

Over the past 5 years, the information technology infrastructure serving the digital transformation of the Academy has been gradually deployed synchronously and uniformly, meeting the requirements of the task. From the lack of resources, old and patchy infrastructure, not upgraded for many years, the information technology infrastructure throughout the Academy system has been invested in key, modernized, such as the project to upgrade the online television bridge system from the Academy Center to affiliated Academies and political schools; the project to build a smart governance model at the Academy (the first technology project in Vietnam using the international bidding method with products and equipment from advanced countries; copyrighted software, source code belongs to the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics).

The affiliated Academies have also gradually and proactively invested in facilities and technical infrastructure to serve the tasks of the unit, initially completing the information technology infrastructure towards comprehensive digital transformation in all aspects of the Academy's operations.
