Speaking at the opening ceremony, Major General, Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Sy Loc, Director of the Academy of Politics, emphasized that in the context of the rapidly changing and unpredictable world and regional situation, improving political mettle and theoretical thinking capacity for cadres and party members has become an urgent task and has long-term strategic significance. The Academy of Politics, as one of three institutions assigned by the Ministry of National Defense to train advanced political theory, always focuses on innovating programs, content and teaching methods, ensuring quality, close to reality and meeting the requirements of military building in the new situation.

Implementing the conclusions of the Secretariat and the direction of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, from 2018 to present, the Academy of Politics has organized 8 training courses, confirming the advanced level of political theory for nearly 1,700 military officers. Many students after completing the course have taken on important positions in the political system, contributing to affirming the Party's correct policy on building a politically strong army, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new period.

In the 2025-2026 school year, the Academy will organize advanced political theory classes at three locations: the Academy of Politics, Military School of Military Region 1 and Military School of Military Region 7. At the Academy alone, the first batch includes 358 students for concentrated training (course 9) and 99 students for non-concentrated training (first course). The study period for concentrated classes is 8 months, and for non-concentrated classes is 18 months. Students will be equipped with a comprehensive knowledge system on Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh thought, Vietnamese revolutionary theory and practice, Party building theory, state management, national defense, security, socio-economics and leadership and management science...

At the opening ceremony, on behalf of the entire course, Colonel Nguyen Duy Thanh, class leader of class B02, expressed his deep gratitude to the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Academy for their attention and creation of conditions for military officers to have a serious and effective learning and theoretical research environment. He affirmed that the students are aware that this is an important, honorable and also responsible learning task. All students will strictly comply with the regulations and study discipline; proactively study, link theory with practice, actively practice, maintain the qualities of a military officer, and be determined to excellently complete the course tasks.
