On the side of the external evaluation expert team, there were: Prof. Dr. Dang Ung Van, former Chief of Office of the National Education Council, former Rector of Hoa Binh University, Head of the external evaluation team; secretaries, members and supervisors of the external evaluation team.
On the side of Ho Chi Minh National Political, there was the participation of Dr. Tran Thi Tu Anh, Deputy Head of the Department of Training Management; On the side of the Academy of Journalism and Communication, there were: Associate Professor, Dr. Mai Duc Ngoc, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the School Council; Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Minh Son, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Academy, Chairman of the Self-Assessment Council; Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Truong Giang, Standing Member of the Party Committee, Deputy Director of the Academy... and members of the Self-Assessment Council of the Academy's educational institutions.
The survey aims to improve training quality, ensuring the goal of becoming a key university in the fields of journalism, communications, political theory and a number of other social sciences and humanities.
Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Minh Son, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Academy, shared that the main goal in the Academy's development strategy is to become a key university in the fields of journalism, communications, political theory and a number of other social sciences and humanities.
Therefore, the School always focuses on internal and external self-assessment of training facilities and training programs. This official survey is also our commitment to continuously improve training quality and strive to achieve the set goals.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Minh Son expressed his belief that the results of this official survey to assess the quality of education will continue to clarify and accurately indicate the current state of the school's training activities. The evaluation opinions of the expert delegation are valuable bases for the school to continue to improve and enhance the quality of training to meet the needs of society and affirm the reputation of the school.
Representing the Academy's leadership, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Truong Giang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Vice President of the Academy, Vice President of the Self-Assessment Council, gave an overview of the Academy of Journalism and Communication and the process of self-assessment of educational institutions. In particular, the Academy's development goals and strategies were outlined, which are to become a key university in the fields of journalism, communications, political theory and a number of other social sciences and humanities. With the goal of improving the quality of its training, the School always focuses on self-assessment within and outside the training institutions and training programs.
In his opening speech, Dr. Nguyen Dinh Huy, Deputy Director of the Center for Education Quality Assessment of Vinh University, affirmed and highly appreciated the position of the Academy as a key university. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Huy hoped that during the working process at the Academy, the Delegation would receive the accompaniment, coordination and active support of the Board of Directors and related units, so that the Delegation could quickly and objectively assess the overall picture of the Academy; at the same time, give recommendations and effective solutions to help the Academy continuously improve the quality of education.
Thereby, Dr. Nguyen Viet Anh, Assessor, Vinh University Education Quality Assessment Center announced the Decision to establish an External Assessment Team for the Academy of Journalism and Communication.
This survey took place from October 7, 2023 to October 12, 2023. During the 6 working days at the Academy, the delegation of experts focused on studying the supporting documents of the faculties, institutes, departments, offices, and centers in the Academy; observing the actual practice rooms, laboratories; information technology infrastructure; software serving the administration and management of the Academy; checking learning materials at the Library; observing the actual classrooms, offices, medical stations, dormitories, sports areas, cafeterias, and other facilities.
In 2018, the Academy of Journalism and Communication completed the quality assessment of educational institutions and received the Certificate of Quality Assessment of Educational Institutions meeting educational quality standards issued by the Ministry of Education and Training under Decision No. 95/QD-KĐCLGD dated June 29, 2018 by the Director of the Center for Educational Quality Assessment - Association of Vietnamese Universities and Colleges.
In early 2023, the Academy of Journalism and Communication continued to be granted educational accreditation certificates for 7 university-level training programs including the following majors: Scientific Socialism, Political Economy, History of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Party Building and State Administration, Publishing Editing, Advertising, English Language
