Academy of Journalism and Communication stops recruiting group C

The Academy of Journalism and Communication (AJC) has just announced official enrollment information for 2025, with many adjustments in enrollment compared to last year.

Many new groups have computer science subjects.

This year, the academy will recruit 2,050 students with four main admission methods, including direct admission and priority admission; review of academic records; review of combined international certificates; and review of high school graduation exam scores.

The Academy divides training programs into four groups. Group 1 includes journalism and publishing; Group 2 includes theoretical programs; Group 3 includes history; Group 4 includes communication, advertising, and international relations.

This year will be the first year the academy will stop considering the C00 group (literature, history, geography) in the method of considering academic records and high school graduation exam scores; and add some new groups with computer science subjects.

Last year, in the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, only history majors considered group C00, the highest admission score threshold of the academy was 38.12/40 points.

Convert IELTS and SAT certificates to 10 points

With the method of considering transcripts, the school considers the results of 6 semesters of high school according to the combination of majors. Depending on the major group, combination, the main subject is multiplied by a coefficient of 2.

Combined review method, the academy considers candidates with IELTS certificate from 6.5 or higher, SAT certificate of at least 1,200/1,600, math, literature, history scores of 6 semesters of high school from 7.0 or higher, good conduct.

For the combined method of consideration, international certificates, the academy will convert the certificate to a 10-point scale and multiply by a factor of 2 when calculating the admission score.

For example, for groups 1, 2, 4, admission score = certificate score (coefficient 2) + literature score + math score + priority/incentive score.

For group 3, admission score = certificate score (coefficient 2) + literature score + history score + priority/incentive score.

With the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, the Academy of Journalism and Communication allows candidates to convert IELTS certificate scores to replace English in the admission combination.
