Completely remove geography from all admission combinations

The Academy of Journalism and Communication has just announced its enrollment information for 2025. Accordingly, the school has completely eliminated the admission criteria for the literature-history-geography combination. At the same time, the school no longer considers geography for admission in all training programs.

The Academy's admission majors are divided into 4 groups.

Group 1 is Journalism - Publishing, recruiting 4 groups: Literature - English - Math; Literature - English - Economic and Legal Education; Literature - English - Information Technology; Literature - English - History. In which, Literature is calculated with a coefficient of 2.

Group 2 is Philosophy - Political Science, recruiting from 4 groups: literature - math - English; literature - math - IT; literature - math - history; literature - math - economic and legal education.

Group 3 is History, recruiting from 4 combinations: literature - history - English; literature - history - math; literature - history - information technology; literature - history - economic and legal education. In which history has a coefficient of 2.

Group 4 is the fields of communication - advertising - public relations - international relations, recruiting 4 combinations: literature - English - math; literature - English - information technology; literature - English - economic and legal education; literature - English - history. In which English has a coefficient of 2.

IELTS 7.0, SAT 1.360 is counted as 10 points

In addition to direct admission according to regulations, the school uses 3 admission methods: considering academic records, considering high school graduation exam scores and combined admission.

Specifically, the school considers candidates with IELTS from 6.5 and SAT from 1,200, and the average score of math, literature, English and history for all 3 years of high school must be 7.0 or higher. The school also only accepts candidates with good conduct in high school.

In this method, the converted certificate score is calculated with a coefficient of 2 combined with the scores of 2 other subjects other than English in the admission combination. Candidates with IELTS 7.0 and SAT 1.360 will be converted to a score of 10.

In addition, candidates with IELTS and SAT will be given bonus points when applying to the school based on their academic records. The minimum bonus point is 0.1 and the maximum is 0.5.

Candidates who do not meet the appearance requirements will be transferred to another major.

In addition to the high school transcript requirements, candidates applying for some majors at the Academy of Journalism and Communication must also meet appearance requirements. For example, candidates applying for the major of political theory lecturer training must not have a lisp or stutter; candidates applying for the major of Cinematography must not have eye defects, and must be at least 1.58m tall for women and 1.62m tall for men.

The school will organize a health check for candidates after being admitted. If they do not meet the above requirements, they will have to transfer to other majors with equivalent benchmark scores.
