Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized this at the conference to review 2 years and commend and reward typical advanced models of studying and following Uncle Ho, well implementing Conclusion No. 01-KL/TU and Directive No. 05 on "Promoting studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" among workers and civil servants, organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) on May 14.
Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia presented certificates of merit to typical examples of studying and following Uncle Ho.
According to the Head of the Central Propaganda Department, in recent times, trade unions at all levels have had many creative ways of thinking and doing things. Learning and following Uncle Ho's example is associated with effectively performing the task of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers, leaving a strong impression through typical movements such as: "Union member welfare" program, "Union shelter", "Tet Sum Vay", "Workers' Month" as well as patriotic emulation campaigns and movements such as: "Good workers, Creative workers", "Loyal, responsible, honest, creative civil servants and public employees"...
Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia suggested that the trade union should further replicate good models so that the movement becomes more substantial and regular, for the legitimate interests of union members and workers; study the ethical standards of trade union officials in accordance with new conditions, as a basis for trade union officials to cultivate, practice, and enhance their political qualities, both red and specialized, so that the trade union truly becomes an organization for the workers, by the workers, for the workers; at the same time, promote and create a stronger transformation from "studying" to "following" Uncle Ho, making studying and following Uncle Ho a personal and regular need, a great driving force and strength to build a modern, strong working class and a strong trade union organization.
The Head of the Central Propaganda Department emphasized: "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style is a sacred task, but anyone can do it every day. Doing one good deed every day, no matter how small, will become a big thing, bringing great success."
According to Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, each typical and advanced collective and individual being commended, together with tens of millions of union members, civil servants, public employees, workers, and trade union officials, will continue to promote emulation as Uncle Ho said, contributing more and more to the building of socialism, overcoming all challenges, and fulfilling all assigned tasks.
According to the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang, in the past two years, 7,256 groups and 812,800 individuals have registered to carry out 966,500 tasks following Uncle Ho. Patriotic emulation movements launched by trade unions have been actively responded to by union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers. A typical example is the program "1 million initiatives - efforts to overcome difficulties, creativity, determination to defeat the Covid-19 pandemic", launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, which "reached the finish line" nearly a year early, bringing in a profit of about 16,000 billion VND... In the past two years, 15,128 groups and individuals have been commended and rewarded by trade unions at all levels for their outstanding achievements in studying and following Uncle Ho's ideology, morality, and style.
At the conference, 133 typical examples of studying and following Uncle Ho, representing more than 15,000 outstanding collectives and individuals selected from all levels of the trade union, were commended and awarded certificates of merit. Although coming from many different professions, fields, and positions, they are all typical examples imbued with Uncle Ho's ideology, morality, and style, dedicating themselves to their work, agencies, units, enterprises, trade unions, and the country.
