Speaking at the program, Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Student Association of Hanoi Nguyen Tien Hung said: The program is part of the Journey to Unify the Country series organized by the City Youth Union, aiming to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
This is a meaningful activity with the hope that through the exchanges of “Telling historical stories - Fueling tradition” with historical witnesses, the young generation will not only understand more about the years of arduous fighting, but also be nurtured with patriotism, strong will and national pride. That spirit is inherited and promoted by the youth of the capital, continuing to train, perfect themselves, contributing to the development of the country in the new era - the era of the Vietnamese people's rise.

At the program, historical witnesses: War invalid and veteran Doan Tran Tac; poet Do Trac Loc; former youth volunteer Nguyen Thi Bich Lien reviewed the precious, heroic historical battles and glorious victories of the nation.
The sharing of historical witnesses brought to the students many emotions mixed with pride in the previous pioneering generation, who did not spare their blood and bones, sacrificed for independence and freedom, for the country to be united.
Historical witnesses also expressed their hope that students will always be good and studious, uphold the tradition of studiousness, and in the future, grow up, follow in the footsteps of their fathers and brothers, and build the capital and the country.

Through the stories of historical witnesses, teachers and students of Chu Van An High School for the Gifted have a better understanding of the fierce days of war as well as the heroic and resilient spirit of our army and people. Students see more clearly the value of life, appreciate peace, and are proud of the history of their country. From there, they foster a spirit of patriotism, awareness of their role and responsibility to their homeland and country.

Expressing pride when hearing stories about the heroic sacrifices of revolutionary soldiers, about the spirit of solidarity in the resistance war of our army and people, Pham Duc Duy, a student of class 12A1 shared: "Since I was little, I have been passionate about history through the stories of my grandparents, parents and the traditional Chu Van An school. History helps me understand and appreciate what I have, and I also build a better ideal of life, more empathy and sharing...".
