High school students win 2 computer science awards.

As a child, Tue often helped his mother run the internet cafe and gradually developed an interest in computers without even realizing it. In second grade, he participated in the Violympic Mathematics competition organized by the Ministry of Education and Training and won an honorable mention. In eighth and ninth grade, the young student continued to test his skills at the provincial-level Young Informatics Competition and won honorable mentions again.

Having received a full scholarship from Chi Lang High School, the student from An Khe town moved to Pleiku City to enroll. Besides his classes, he was passionate about learning more about algorithms and computer programming.

Vo Dang Tue excellently won two first prizes at the Hour of Code 2024 competition.

In the programming knowledge section of the 2024 Hour of Code competition, Tuệ used C/C++, Python, and Pascal programming languages ​​to solve problems. In the creative software design section, Tuệ competed alone with her Deepfake Recognition Software (DRS), while most other entries were developed in groups. "Deepfake is a new, developing technology. Currently, many malicious individuals are exploiting this technology to create fake videos for the purpose of fraud and theft. Therefore, I wanted to challenge myself by researching more intelligent recognition software," Tuệ said.

Having worked alongside Vo Dang Tue for the past three years, Mr. Dong Anh Duong, a computer science teacher, is very impressed by Tue's programming mindset and his ability to learn, explore, and create independently. According to Mr. Duong, Tue's strong performance in mathematics was the foundation that helped him easily conquer computer science.

Speaking about her future dreams, Tuệ hopes to win a scholarship to study Artificial Intelligence (AI) abroad and become an AI engineer.

Soon, Tuệ, along with several other students from her school, will participate in the final round of the Central-Western Highlands Informatics Olympiad 2024 in Da Nang City; the 28th Traditional 30-4 Olympiad 2024 in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province; and the Hue-ICT Challenge 2024 programming competition in Thua Thien - Hue province.
