The event is scheduled to take place on June 8 and 9 at the Binh Dinh Center for Scientific Discovery and Innovation, jointly organized by the Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee, the Ho Chi Minh City Information Technology Association and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Vietnam is the first country in Southeast Asia to be selected by NASA for this event.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Ha, Director of the Center for Scientific Discovery and Innovation of Binh Dinh province, said that students can interact and talk directly with astronauts at the event to better understand life and missions in space.
The event also had the participation of a number of Vietnamese experts knowledgeable in astrophysics and space science.
The room simulates 3 main topics: Earth and the sun, sister planets, the solar system in the history of the universe at the Binh Dinh International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education
Two former NASA astronauts Michael A. Baker and Josefs Schmid will come to share about work and life in space with students during NASA Week Vietnam - Binh Dinh 2023.
The event also includes NASA STEM activities including experiential activities such as: Exploring the night sky, experiencing virtual reality/augmented reality (VR/AR), watching drone demonstrations, Hologram Tube of Astronaut light show...
"Students from elementary to high school, university students and the public who love space science and want to learn about NASA's activities can register to participate, free of charge. The Center for Science Discovery and Innovation of Binh Dinh province will open an online registration channel so that the public has more opportunities to easily register to participate," Mr. Nguyen Huu Ha added.
