Accordingly, the victim of the recent school violence incident was Nguyen Thanh Thuong (10th grade student at An Nhon High School No. 3, An Nhon Town, Binh Dinh). Thuong was severely beaten by some students from the same school and had to be hospitalized for treatment.
Nguyen Thanh Thuong suffered a broken nose after being beaten by a group of people.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen (Thuong's older sister) said that Thuong was beaten by about 9-10 students from the same school at noon on December 20. After the incident, Thuong suffered a broken and dislocated nose, a bruised eye, and her uniform was stained with blood.
Currently, Thuong is still being treated at Binh Dinh General Hospital. Although her health is gradually stabilizing, her head still hurts.
Thuong's uniform was also stained with blood after the incident.
"Before, my sister was once beaten until her mouth bled and she came home and told her family that she didn't want to go to school anymore. However, the family thought it was because Thuong couldn't study, so they kept encouraging her to try to go to school," Ms. Thuyen added.
Mr. Dao Duc Tuan, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Binh Dinh province, said that he had received a report from An Nhon High School No. 3 about the above school violence incident. According to initial verification, Thuong was beaten by some students in the same grade 10 but different classes. Currently, Nhon Tho Commune Police (An Nhon Town) are working with relevant parties.
"Currently, there is only initial information because the units are still reviewing and investigating. The Department has also directed schools in the area to strengthen management to avoid similar incidents," said Mr. Dao Duc Tuan.
