As part of a series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), on April 16, in Tien Giang province, the Central Council of Young Pioneers, Vietnam Post Corporation, and Vietnam Stamp Association organized a summary and award ceremony for the 2025 Postage Stamp Collection and Research Contest.

With the theme "50 years of Southern Liberation and National Reunification through postage stamps", the contest has a particularly important meaning.
The contest is like a great historical lesson of the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign and the resistance war against the American imperialists; affirming the correct and wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam , President Ho Chi Minh and the spirit of great national unity as the decisive factor in the Great Victory of Spring 1975. From there, raising awareness and responsibility of the Vietnamese children's generation to contribute to the cause of protecting and maintaining the sacred sovereignty of the country.
After more than 4 months of implementation, the contest has attracted the participation of millions of students across the country. Each entry was presented by the students in many creative and lively ways; the forms of expression were diverse and rich; the content closely followed the theme of the contest. Many entries were carefully invested, collecting many rare stamps as evidence for the entry.
From more than 1.1 million entries, the Organizing Committee and Jury selected and awarded prizes to 25 groups and 76 individuals, divided equally between primary and secondary schools.

In particular, the Special Prize was awarded by the Organizing Committee to Ha Bao Ngoc (class 5A4, Phuong Liet Primary School, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi City) and Pham Ngoc Hai My (class 6A5, Chu Van An Secondary School, Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong Province).
First Prize was awarded to 4 students: Bui Thao Linh (class 5A4, Moc Ly Primary School, Moc Chau town, Son La province); Bui Khanh Duy (class 5A, Trung Vuong Primary School, Da Lat city, Lam Dong province); Dang Le Gia Nhi (class 9/3, Kim Dong Secondary School, Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province); Kieu Hai Phong (class 8B9, Da Nang Secondary School, Ngo Quyen district, Hai Phong city).
In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded 5 Second prizes, 10 Third prizes and 20 Consolation prizes, with a total prize value of more than 100 million VND.
