This is one of the key projects of the 4,500 classroom project of Ho Chi Minh City, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
Spacious, modern
"My school is so beautiful!", "The school yard is so big, it's so cool!". On the morning of April 21, a group of students from class 6A8 of Mac Dinh Chi Secondary School were amazed at each other when they entered their new school.
"Since the beginning of the school year, we have had to temporarily study in the premises of the Department of Education and Training. Today, I am studying at the new school, I feel very excited because the school is so beautiful" - Le Quang Nhat, a student of class 7A1 at Mac Dinh Chi Secondary School, said.
According to Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Suong - the school principal, the school campus area is 12,283.5m2 , of which the construction land area is more than 4,000m2 , the rest is playground, practice ground, green planting area...
"Our school has one ground floor and three floors with 45 classrooms and functional rooms. In particular, all functional rooms such as computer science, art, music, history and geography, civic education, English, library... have been equipped with all kinds of modern, specialized machinery and equipment before being handed over to the school" - Ms. Suong informed.
In particular, Mac Dinh Chi Secondary School also has a swimming pool of over 500 square meters with 8 lanes; a kitchen area for boarding students... Talking to Tuoi Tre, many students expressed their eagerness to learn to swim soon.
"I went to see it, my school's swimming pool is great. I already know how to swim but I still hope the school will teach swimming or organize a swimming club so we can use the pool. Just imagine how refreshing it would be to jump into the pool on a hot day like this" - a group of male students from class 6A5 suggested.
Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Suong shared: "100% of our students study 2 sessions/day with 40 periods/week. Including 31 periods according to the 2018 general education program of the Ministry of Education and Training; the remaining 9 periods are the school program with subjects such as STEM, learning English with native teachers, life skills, international informatics, chess, Chinese chess, modern dance, karate, badminton...
In the coming time, the school plans to build a mini soccer field, taking advantage of the existing facilities to establish talent teams, and enhance physical training for students. Of the 26 management staff and teachers, 10 have master's degrees, the rest have bachelor's degrees or higher.

Comprehensive student education
We arrived at Hung Vuong Primary School right at recess time on the morning of April 21. Students were playing soccer and chasing each other in the hallway and schoolyard.
Minh Quan, a student in class 2/2, was running around joking with his friends, but when asked about his new school, he smiled brightly and said: "Today is the first day at my new school, I'm so excited. The school is near my house, just a short walk away. Plus, the school is so big, we had a great time running around."
Similar to Mac Dinh Chi Secondary School, all classrooms at Hung Vuong Primary School are equipped with projectors, screens, speaker systems, amplifiers, computers... for teachers to use.
The classrooms not only have many windows but also two doors, so they are very airy and cool. Not only that, the school also has a multi-purpose gymnasium of nearly 1,000 square meters that can organize many sports activities for students at the same time.
Ms. Duong Thi Ngoc Phuong - principal of Hung Vuong Primary School - said: "Previously, when we were temporarily studying at the Department of Education and Training, we organized 5 after-school clubs: karate, chess, dance and singing performances, life skills, and STEM.
Currently, the multi-purpose gymnasium is fully equipped, so in the near future the school will open more badminton, volleyball, basketball, soccer clubs...
In addition, the classes here all have an ideal student population, only 30 - 35 students/class, so teachers are very convenient in improving the quality of comprehensive education for students."

Respond promptly to school needs
According to the People's Committee of Tan Binh District (HCMC), all three schools were built according to national standard school regulations, and all items fully comply with the material standards of the Ministry of Education and Training.
100% of students in the three schools study two sessions a day, and class sizes meet the standards set by the Ministry of Education and Training. These are favorable factors that help schools gradually improve the quality of comprehensive education. This is also a condition to create a solid foundation for the sustainable development of the local education sector.

Contribute to improving the quality of education
This morning, when entering the new school, my students were surprised by how beautiful the school is. Teaching in a new, beautiful, airy and fully equipped school like this, I am not only happy but also feel that I have to be more conscious.
It is a dedication, a responsibility to contribute to improving the quality of child care and education, creating prestige for the industry and the school, creating trust in parents so that they can feel secure and confident in sending their children to study at Son Ca Kindergarten.
Fairytale paradise
Also on the morning of April 21, entering Son Ca Kindergarten, the writer of this article felt like entering a fairy tale paradise when seeing the classrooms, playgrounds... all decorated eye-catchingly and colorfully. Son Ca Kindergarten is built in a closed rectangle. Outside that "rectangle" is a swimming pool, outdoor playground, garden...
Each classroom here has 4 doors, especially a front and back hallway so the classrooms are very airy.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thao, principal of Son Ca Kindergarten, shared: "All classrooms of the nursery class are covered with wooden floors, ensuring the safety of the children. In addition, classrooms and functional rooms (such as physical education rooms, art education rooms, foreign language rooms, computer rooms, life skills rooms, individual activity rooms for special students...) are all fully equipped by the State with modern and convenient machinery, equipment, toys.
The school is expected to enroll about 240 students in classes from 13 months to under 6 years old next school year. However, if people have demand, we can still accept more than the above quota."
