The rate of excellent and good students increased by 7.10% and this is the 10th year the school has had over 99% of students graduating from high school, higher than the general rate of the province.
In the 2024-2025 school year, teachers and students of Binh Thuan Province Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities will continue to implement the 2018 general education program; strengthen moral and lifestyle education; experience career guidance and life skills; take care of training and improving the quality of teachers and management staff.
Mr. Luong Dao Quoc Dung, Principal of Binh Thuan Province Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, shared that in the final year of grade 12, we will strive to achieve 100% to achieve the highest average graduation exam score compared to the province, because for the past 10 years, the school has always exceeded the average score compared to the province. For grade 12, we will focus on career guidance, giving students many career opportunities in the future. Especially helping them preserve the national cultural identity in their community.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Thai, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Long An province, said that although the 2024-2025 school year will still face many difficulties, the Education sector hopes that teachers and students will be highly determined, make great efforts, and implement the principle of "Teaching for real, learning for real, taking real exams and achieving real results", and successfully complete the assigned tasks of the school year.
Long An province will continue to promote the socialization of education to support students in the province with scholarships, clothes, books, bicycles... so that they have enough conditions to go to school, and not let students drop out of school due to difficulties and lack of books.
Le Thanh Yen Nhu, a student in class A11 at Nguyen Huu Tho High School, Ben Luc District, Long An Province, said: "We have prepared our books and notebooks many days ago and are ready. All local students receive a lot of attention from their teachers. My classmates also prepared their books and notebooks very nicely and carefully, and the classroom is neat."
Relieve school pressure
In the 2024-2025 school year, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province has 463 schools and 6 continuing education centers. The number of schools meeting national standards is 308/460 schools, reaching a rate of 66.96%.
This school year, the education sector in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province continues to face difficulties such as: there are still educational facilities lacking classrooms to teach 2 sessions/day, some schools have a student/class ratio too high compared to the standard of 35 students/class for primary school and 45 students/class for secondary school.
Previously, Ba Ria-Vung Tau also completed and put into use 5 new schools, helping to reduce pressure on schools in the localities and facilitate teaching and learning, ensuring essential conditions in mass education and key education.
To promptly meet the teaching and learning needs, the education sector has also developed a plan to recruit civil servants for 265 positions. In addition, the People's Council of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province has approved the number of contracts to perform professional and technical work in public service units in the group 4 fields of education and training for the 2024-2025 school year as 415 targets.
Mr. Le Thanh Kinh, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Chau Duc district, said that the district will arrange for teachers to teach more hours, and secondly, call for and encourage teachers to quit their jobs or retire but still have good health to continue teaching.
In Binh Duong, to meet the learning needs of students, this new school year, the province has invested in building, upgrading and renovating 12 more schools, adding 266 classrooms, bringing the total number of schools in the province to 713 facilities, including 375 public schools and 338 non-public schools.
However, in localities with a large number of students such as Thu Dau Mot City, Ben Cat, Tan Uyen, Di An, Thuan An, the number of students in a class always exceeds the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
In addition, this school year, Binh Duong is also facing difficulties with a shortage of about 3,222 teachers according to the norm, of which the most are music, computer science, and preschool teachers. On the other hand, the large number of students also causes difficulties in terms of facilities to organize boarding for students.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhat Hang, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Binh Duong province, the Department of Education and Training has created conditions for localities to be proactive in recruiting education officials, while at the same time innovating the form of teaching both in-person and online for subjects lacking teachers.
Currently, the Department of Education and Training is directing districts to conduct guest lectures and coordinate teachers in the entire district or inter-district for support. In addition, teachers must also teach more than 200 hours. Currently, the education sector is also researching and advising the Provincial People's Committee to resolve the issue according to the decree and circular guiding the Labor Law. Therefore, teaching more than 200 hours will be resolved in the near future. Ms. Hang added.
In preparation for the new school year 2024 - 2025, the Education sector and schools in Tay Ninh have arranged existing facilities and teaching equipment, ensuring the best learning environment for students.
Since the beginning of 2024, the education sector has recruited 152 more teachers at all levels to overcome the shortage of teachers; spent 7.5 billion VND to upgrade facilities. In particular, attention has been paid to caring for students in difficult circumstances, border areas, and ethnic minorities.
