With the theme “STEM around us”, the festival gathered about 4,000 students and teachers from 70 high schools in Can Tho city and the provinces of Hau Giang, Soc Trang, An Giang , Vinh Long, and Dong Thap.
With nearly 40 booths fromeducational institutions and businesses, the festival offers many useful activities, helping students explore and experience practical applications of STEM in life.
Within the framework of the festival, many events took place such as: Workshop on the topic "STEM Technology and Education" for students and managers, teachers and students; workshop "STEM Career Orientation"; exhibition and exchange of STEM products of students; exchange between managers, teachers and STEM experts...

In his opening speech, Deputy Director of the Department of General Education ( Ministry of Education and Training ) Do Duc Que said: The rate of students participating in STEM majors in Vietnam is currently 28-30%.
Mr. Que said this is an encouraging figure, reflecting the growing interest in science and technology. This rate can be further increased to meet the country's requirements for rapid and sustainable development.
“Through STEM Day, I hope students will be more aware of the importance of STEM in their academic careers and future career development.
Let's arouse and nurture their passion and intelligence, so that they can firmly step on the path of learning and scientific research, contributing to the sustainable development of the country," Mr. Do Duc Que emphasized.

STEM Day not only benefits students but also has positive impacts on teachers, helping to improve their professional qualifications and develop more effective teaching methods.
Editor-in-Chief of Education and Times Newspaper, Head of the Festival Steering Committee Trieu Ngoc Lam said: With an integrated approach between science, technology, engineering and mathematics, STEM education is not only a modern teaching method, but also a bridge to help students practice essential skills, which are logical thinking, creativity, problem solving, effective cooperation and lifelong self-learning ability.

"The implementation in the Mekong Delta region shows that STEM education is increasingly effective. In many educational institutions, students are not only more enthusiastic about learning but also proactively explore and create practical products related to life.
Students are trained in analytical thinking, teamwork skills and the ability to present ideas scientifically.
At the same time, the teaching staff also gradually improved their capacity to organize integrated teaching, effectively applying modern tools, equipment and methods to bring about lively and practical lessons," the Editor-in-Chief of Education and Times Newspaper emphasized.

Associate Professor, Dr. Ho Van Thong, Principal of Dong Thap University, affirmed that the school is committed to always accompanying in scientific research, technology application, especially the application of artificial intelligence (AI), STEM in the teaching process.
