Tuition fees for public preschools that are not self-sufficient in regular expenses in ethnic minority and mountainous areas are 65,000 VND/child/month for semi-boarding and 45,000 VND/child/month for non-boarding.
Tuition fees for the 2024-2025 school year of Phu Tho province will be implemented according to Resolution 07/2024/NQQ-HDND dated July 12, 2024.
Accordingly, tuition fees for public preschool and general education institutions that are not self-sufficient in regular expenses are as follows:

Children, pupils and students pay tuition fees according to the rates charged at the public educational institutions where they study. Of which:
+ Urban area: Including wards of Viet Tri city, Phu Tho town and towns of districts (except Yen Lap town of Yen Lap district).
+ Rural areas: Including communes that are not ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
+ Ethnic minority and mountainous areas: Including communes and towns according to Decision 861/QD-TTg in 2021 of the Prime Minister on approving the list of communes in region III, region II, region I in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2021 - 2025.
– For continuing education institutions and other training institutions implementing general education programs, tuition fees are applied equivalent to those of public general education institutions of the same level in the area.

According to the 2019 census, Phu Tho has 1,463,726 people, of which 726,909 are males and 736,817 are females, with a population density of 373 people/km². With this population, Phu Tho ranks 21st out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide. The total number of households is 402,618, with an average of 3.6 people/household (the national average is 3.5 people/household).
