| Applications must be submitted by November 5, 2024, at the following website: www.chevening.org/apply. |
The Chevening Scholarship seeks applicants from all walks of life and diverse professions. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment and skills that can bring about positive change, and must show how a Master's program in the UK will help them achieve that goal.
Beyond being a fully funded scholarship covering the entire cost of a one-year Master's program at over 150 universities in the UK, Chevening also offers scholars the opportunity to access professional development programs and cultural experiences in the UK.
For the 2025/2026 academic year, the UK will continue to award approximately 1,500 global scholarships and over 20 specifically for Vietnam, clearly demonstrating its commitment to supporting the development of future leaders.
British Ambassador to Vietnam Iain Frew shared: “Our alumni network includes many people who have made and continue to make a positive difference. You too can have a wonderful experience in the UK like them.”
According to the British diplomat , Chevening alumni are willing to share their experiences, provide advice, and help expand networks, so that "after completing the course and returning, you will be fully equipped with the knowledge, skills, and experience to begin contributing to Vietnam's development."

For the upcoming academic year, the UK will offer an additional scholarship to Vietnam under the newly announced Chevening ASEAN Scholarship program. Scholars participating in this program will engage in a range of specially designed activities and events aimed at strengthening the UK-ASEAN relationship.
The Chevening Scholarship is a global scholarship program of the UK government, funded by the UK Foreign and Development Office (FCDO) and partner organizations. The Chevening Scholarship supports one-year Master's courses in the UK for promising scholars who have the potential to become future leaders, influential figures, and creators of positive value.
Chevening began in 1983 and has grown into one of the world's most prestigious international scholarships. Chevening was introduced in Vietnam in 1993, and over the past 30 years, approximately 550 Vietnamese students have been awarded scholarships.
| The name Chevening originates from the Chevening House in Sevenoaks, Kent – currently the residence of the UK's Foreign and Development Secretary. |
