(NLDO) – More than 200 artists, singers, and dancers performed excellently in an art program celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam on the evening of February 2.

On the evening of the 5th day of the Lunar New Year (February 2, 2025), the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee organized a special art program to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the 236th anniversary of the historic Ngoc Hoi - Dong Da victory (1789 - 2025) with the theme: "Vietnam aspires to be strong" on the large stage in front of the City Theater.
Attending the program were comrades: Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Phan Van Mai, Chairman of the City People's Committee; Nguyen Thi Le, Chairwoman of the City People's Council; Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and comrades of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
Also attending were representatives of the People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; Representatives of the City Party Committee, the City People's Council; Representatives of departments, branches, organizations, armed forces of the City, leaders of districts, towns and Thu Duc City; intellectuals, religious and ethnic dignitaries... And a large audience enthusiastically cheered on the heroic national history pages containing countless special values that the artists expressed through 3 chapters: "The Country of Ten Thousand Springs", "Tay Son's heroic footsteps", "Glorious stages".
These are important events, bearing proud marks in the history of our nation's struggle to build and defend the country in the spring.
Speaking to review the tradition, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, emphasized that the history of building and defending the country for thousands of years of our nation has proven that the spirit of solidarity, ardent patriotism, determination to fight against foreign invaders, protect independence, sovereignty, unity and build the country is an extremely precious tradition of our people. That tradition has been forged through many glorious historical milestones of the nation.

That tradition has always been preserved, continued, and strongly and indomitably aroused, especially since the Communist Party of Vietnam was born on February 3, 1930 in a special historical context and with a special mission. "Since its establishment, with the right guidelines, appropriate and creative methods, practical organizational capacity and the tenacious fighting and heroic sacrifice of many generations of cadres and party members, and the trust, support, and wholehearted protection of the people, promoting the strength of the entire nation, the Communist Party of Vietnam has led the country to great victories of historical and epochal significance," affirmed Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc.
People's Artist Ta Minh Tam was warmly cheered by the audience.
Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc also emphasized that over the past 95 years, the Communist Party of Vietnam, founded and trained by President Ho Chi Minh, has led our people to overcome countless difficulties and challenges, achieving great feats in the nation's history, inheriting and developing our ancestors' patriotism to new heights, making worthy contributions to the international communist and workers' movements, for peace, national independence, democracy and progress of humanity.
Continuing the glorious and proud tradition of the Party over the past 95 years, we can see more clearly the responsibility of the entire Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and Party members today in the historical process of the nation.
The emotional songs written about Uncle Ho for the beloved people of the South have brought many emotions to the majority of the public.
Ho Chi Minh City absolutely fulfills the mission with the whole country, for the whole country, participating in the successful construction of a socialist Vietnam, a rich people, strong country, democracy, equality, civilization, standing shoulder to shoulder with the world powers; ensuring that all people have a prosperous and happy life, are supported to develop and get rich; contribute more and more to the peace, stability, and development of the region and the world, for the happiness of humanity and global civilization.
From the heroic spirit of Dong Da victory, proud of 95 years of building, fighting and growing of "our Party", Ho Chi Minh City is proud to be the place where President Ho Chi Minh started his journey to find a way to save the country and the city is honored to bear his name. The Party Committee and People of Ho Chi Minh City continue to promote the tradition of a heroic city with solidarity, comprehensive efforts, overcoming challenges, overcoming all difficulties, combining the combined strength of the entire political system and the endogenous strength of the great national solidarity bloc, the city is determined to join the whole country in entering a new era, an era of national growth, striving to make Ho Chi Minh City by 2030 a modern service and industrial city, a locomotive of the digital economy, digital society, with a prominent position in the Southeast Asian region; By 2045, Ho Chi Minh City will develop on par with major cities in the world, becoming the economic, financial and service center of Asia, an attractive global destination, with distinctive economic and cultural development, and people with a high quality of life.

In his speech, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc emphasized that entering 2025 has many special meanings, is the year of acceleration to complete the goals of the 11th Congress of the City Party Committee and create the premise for a new development stage, prepare for Party congresses at all levels towards the 12th Congress of the City Party Committee, make achievements to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party; also the year of many important political events of the country.
The city has been urgently completing key programs, projects, and special emulation movements to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day in all economic, cultural, social, defense, and security fields, especially projects to beautify and develop green, clean, beautiful, civilized urban areas, and practical activities to care for the material, cultural, and spiritual lives of the city's people.
Ho Chi Minh City joins the whole country in entering a new era, making its mark through songs written about the city's new construction projects named after Uncle Ho.

The art program is designed with 3 chapters: The Country of Ten Thousand Springs; The Glorious Roads; The Era of Rising. Each chapter is a story, a historical milestone and a development stage of the country. Through the program, it will strongly convey the message of national pride, the strength of solidarity and the determination to rise up, while bringing a joyful, heroic and emotional atmosphere to the audience.
In each era, despite different conditions and ideologies, love for the homeland and national solidarity always aim at the sole purpose of protecting the country, preserving independence, and protecting the fine traditional cultural values of the Vietnamese people.
Actors of Tran Huu Trang Theater participated in the program with excitement and new creativity.
The special highlight of the program is the reenactment of the nation's heroic history through resounding victories, especially the Ngoc Hoi - Dong Da Victory. Vivid images from the 1789 battle under the talented command of hero Nguyen Hue were shown through impressive dance and opera performances.
The art program demonstrated the pride of Ho Chi Minh City people and their determination to preserve and protect the achievements gained from the spirit of labor, solidarity and constant innovation.
The program is organized by the Organizing Committee of Major Holidays of Ho Chi Minh City, performed by the City Light Music Center. Directed by: People's Artist Huu Quoc - Duong Thao. The program gathers more than 200 actors and is broadcast live at 19:00 on HTV1 channel and rebroadcast at 20:45 on HTV9 channel - Ho Chi Minh City Television. Broadcast live on FM channel 99.9MHZ - Ho Chi Minh City People's Radio - VOH.
The grand and outstanding program includes special performances: Suite "Welcome to the Communist Party of Vietnam"; "My Fatherland has never been so beautiful", "Tay Son steps of heroes", "Hien vinh lac hong", Medley "Thênh thang đường moi - Oh Vietnam, spring has come", "HCMC proudly reaches the world", "The country rises - The aspiration of great power"... performed by generations of famous artists and singers of HCMC, creating a strong impression in the hearts of the public.
