Completing the Agricultural and Food Laboratory: Promoting import and export at Bac Luan II border gate

With a system of testing houses, modern machinery and equipment, ensuring testing and examination of Vietnamese agricultural, forestry and aquatic products exported to the Chinese market, the Laboratory has a total area of ​​430m2, designed with modern equipment according to international standards ISO 17025 with a total investment of 30 billion VND in phase 1. The Laboratory is located at Bac Luan 2 Inspection Site, Tan Dai Duong International Import Export Joint Stock Company, the area adjacent to Mong Cai International Border Gate - Bac Luan II Bridge Area.

Mr. Bui Viet Ha, Chief of Office of Tan Dai Duong International Import-Export Joint Stock Company, said: “Since August 2024, the Company has invested in a LAB Room and Laboratory at the Mong Cai International Border Gate's inspection yard - Bac Luan II Bridge Area. Currently, we are completing the installation of LAB equipment such as: Agilent USA's LCMSMS machine to test for O-yellow substance; ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography equipment connected to the triple quadrupole mass spectrometer Model: Agilent 1290 Infinity III UHPLC; Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS), Model: Agilent 7900 ICP-MS manufactured by Agilent Technologies and testing for heavy metals (Cadmium), Sample digestion machine (microwave sample digestion) ... to put into use. Up to now, the laboratory has been able to quickly test and inspect samples on exported seafood and fruits. We are completing the certification dossier in accordance with the provisions of law, project expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2025".

Mr. Truong Gia Dung, Deputy Director of CCIC Dong Hung, Guangxi (China) said: "We have conducted testing on mainly fresh seafood products such as lobster, crab and fruit... From the time we receive the sample to the time we get the results, it only takes 2 hours, ensuring time and cost savings for businesses."

The laboratory with a system of modern, synchronous, environmentally friendly equipment, large scale, is capable of accurately analyzing many indicators of food safety, product quality indicators, such as: Residual plant protection chemicals, antibiotics, toxins, bacteria, viruses, heavy metals, yellow O in food and fruits such as durian... This will contribute to supporting management agencies, organizations, and enterprises in proactively monitoring the quality of agricultural, forestry, and aquatic products to ensure safety before exporting to the Chinese market.

Laboratory with modern equipment.

It is known that previously on February 6, Tan Dai Duong International Import-Export Joint Stock Company (Vietnam) and China Testing Group - Guangxi Co., Ltd., Dongxing Branch (China), signed the acceptance of the handover of the office building and equipment of the Agricultural and Food Products Laboratory (CCIC) at Bac Luan II border gate and put the laboratory into operation.

The laboratory operation provides the following services: Testing and inspection services for food, agricultural, forestry and aquatic products; origin tracing services and product quality consulting services for customers in need; dissemination of the People's Republic of China's border control laws and policies related to the quality of agricultural, forestry and aquatic products and other items exported to China.

Signing of laboratory handover.

The cooperation in building and putting into use the laboratory between Tan Dai Duong International Import Export Joint Stock Company and China Testing Group - Guangxi Company Limited, Dong Hung Branch, is of great significance in the current export of agricultural, forestry and aquatic products to China. This includes promoting the export of fruits, other animal and plant foods, contributing to reducing the time for customs clearance of exported goods; thereby helping import and export enterprises reduce costs related to testing and tracing of exported goods, boosting the export turnover of goods from Vietnam to the Chinese market.
