The Academy of Finance (AOF) and the Hong Kong University of Business School (HKU Business School) jointly organized this seminar on April 24 in Hanoi. The seminar was attended by nearly 400 delegates both in person and online, including representatives of management agencies, policy makers, researchers, scholars, and leading experts in finance and technology.
In his opening speech at the seminar, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Dao Tung emphasized the role of digital assets in reshaping the global financial system, and called for close cooperation between regulatory agencies, research institutions and businesses to build a transparent and sustainable legal framework, associated with promoting innovation.

Following that, Professor Phan Quang Tuan, Director of the Representative Office of the University of Hong Kong in Vietnam, Deputy Director of the Asia Research and Project Center (ACRC) of the School of Business (University of Hong Kong) shared about the importance of international cooperation in addressing legal and technical challenges of digital assets.
Meanwhile, Professor Alan Kwan, Director of the Master of Finance in Financial Technology (MFFinTech) Program at the University of Hong Kong Business School, analyzed digital asset management models in developed countries to point out potential risks such as money laundering, financial fraud, market volatility, etc. In addition, Professor Alan Kwan also shared some of the latest research on the impact of regulations on the development of the cryptocurrency market.

Another expert, Professor Fangzhou Lu, Senior Lecturer at the School of Business (The University of Hong Kong), gave a speech at the Seminar on the transition from Web 2.0 to Web 3.0, focusing on new technologies such as Blockchain, smart contracts, and decentralized digital assets. Through this, he highlighted the new legal challenges that Web 3.0 poses such as data ownership, information security, management of decentralized autonomous organizations, etc.
Also at the Seminar, delegates participated in a roundtable discussion to share views on issues such as risk management, promoting innovation, and building public trust in digital assets.
