Completing the project of exploiting sea sand to serve the leveling of the logistics service area of ​​Tran De deep-water port in accordance with reality

According to the report, the overall construction scale of Tran De Port has a wharf of about 5,300m long, receiving general cargo ships and container ships up to 160,000 DWT, a breakwater system of about 9,800m long, a 17km long overpass, a 28m wide bridge connecting to the port and a port area of ​​about 411ha. The expected investment scale for the construction of the port logistics service area with a total area of ​​about 4,000ha with a plan to exploit sea sand of about 150 million ^m3 ; the expected total investment in the logistics service area is about 42 trillion VND.

According to the consulting unit, the investment in the construction of the port logistics service area, logistics, and industrial cluster adjacent to Tran De seaport with a modern and convenient technical infrastructure system to attract investment capital from domestic and foreign enterprises will create demand for import and export goods as a premise for effective cargo exploitation activities immediately after investing in Tran De port.

At the meeting, delegates discussed a number of issues related to the implementation of sand exploitation for land leveling, finding resources for investment, and giving opinions on researching and proposing preferential policies and mechanisms to support investment and exploitation in order to soon attract investors to invest in the construction of Tran De port.

After listening to the reports of the units, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Lau said that to implement the Tran De Seaport project, it is necessary to find investors to build the wharf infrastructure and the sea encroachment area. Currently, the province has sent a document to the Government to have a direction to support the construction of the port with a fairly large public investment level. Therefore, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the consulting unit to receive opinions from the provincial departments and branches, and edit and complete the project to suit the actual situation in the locality. He requested that relevant departments and branches coordinate with the consulting unit to advise the Provincial People's Committee to carry out the process and procedures for preparing documents to submit to competent authorities for consideration in the coming time.
