After arriving at Jurong Port - Singapore, the equipment components will be installed to serve the construction of the Jurong Gas Turbine Power Plant, an important project in the energy construction in this country. The project started construction in May 2023 with a designed capacity of 680MW and used modern "F-series" gas turbine technology, thereby allowing for the conversion to use Hydrogen gas fuel and minimizing CO2 emissions. The event expected to put the Jurong Power Plant into commercial operation from early 2025 is of urgent significance in meeting the increasing demand for electricity as well as stabilizing the overall power grid in Singapore.
Eight months of intense work to complete the hot project
The total manufacturing volume performed by PTSC Quang Ngai is about 1,300 tons for 02 units, including diverse products with requirements ranging from simple to complex such as: stack, elbow duct, silencer, support structure, etc. With large volume and scale, right from the first days of being awarded the Implementation Contract, PTSC Quang Ngai has determined that this will be one of the "hottest" mechanical processing export projects of the Company in 2024, containing many challenges during the construction process, requiring the team to be determined to focus on implementation and close supervision to control risks and ensure project progress.
After more than 08 months of implementation efforts with a strong spirit and synchronous cohesion between the technical and purchasing teams, PTSC Quang Ngai has successfully delivered 44 bulk cargoes at Dung Quat port, meeting customer expectations. Following the success of projects that have been and are being implemented at Dung Quat Mechanical Workshop with a total export volume of up to thousands of tons of global exports in the past time, PTSC Quang Ngai has continuously improved its skills, increased its capacity and experience, especially in manufacturing large-scale mechanical equipment, meeting strict requirements on industrial safety and international quality standards. According to the plan, the remaining workload is expected to be completed and delivered to customers in mid-September 2024.
