One more bridge, one less worry
In the early April sunshine typical of the dry season in Ben Tre, Mr. Nguyen Van Tam, a resident of Ca Nho hamlet, Dinh Trung commune, Ben Tre province, excitedly shared about the sturdy Trang Xanh bridge, standing out among the coconut trees and surrounding trees:
“ The old bridge was tiny, and after a long time it deteriorated, the bridge surface collapsed, and the bridge legs broke. We had to constantly dodge each other when we were driving, and when it rained it was slippery, and those with weak steering skills could easily fall. Now that there is a new, sturdy, and spacious bridge, everyone is very happy, having waited so long for a bridge like this! ”

The Blue Moon Bridge has a reinforced concrete structure, 15m long, 4m wide, and was fully funded by the Blue Moon Foundation with a budget of nearly 300 million VND. The bridge makes it easier for people to travel and transport agricultural products and goods, and ensures safety for students going to school.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tai, in charge of the project's engineering, said: "From the very beginning of the construction, the team members determined that this was not just a simple construction project but a heart from the Blue Moon Fund to the people, which the people looked forward to every day. Therefore, everyone tried their best, almost working more than 10 hours a day to speed up the progress. The result is that in just over 20 days, the bridge was completed, serving the people's safe travel, we are very proud."

“Blue Moon” footprints on the 7-year journey
For the staff of the Blue Moon Fund, happiness always comes from very simple things. Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Ngoan - Director of the Blue Moon Fund confided: " Our happiness is seeing the bright smiles of the people of Dinh Trung commune when they take their first steps on the Blue Moon Bridge ". On the journey of the Blue Moon Fund's sustainable operation from 2018 to present, the Fund has had thousands of such "footprints" of happiness.
The Fund's Green Moon Scholarship, Sharing Moon, and Hope Moon activities have spread the spirit of charity to many provinces and cities from Ha Giang, Dien Bien, Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang, Hanoi, Phu Tho, Ninh Binh to Dong Nai, Ben Tre, etc. Also in April, the Green Moon Fund started construction of the Green Moon Kindergarten at Ban Khe 2 in Thuong Nong commune, Na Hang district, Tuyen Quang province. This is the third school built by the Fund for people in difficult areas in the past three years. The new school was built on an area of 320 m2, including 2 spacious classrooms, 1 kitchen, 2 toilets and a sloped roof staircase connecting to the old classroom area, ensuring safety and convenience for the children.

From the school of hope in the highlands of Tuyen Quang to the bridge of dreams in the middle of Ben Tre river, the charity journey of the Blue Moon Foundation has been demonstrating the passion to realize the mission of "Accompanying and supporting the footsteps of children in difficult circumstances and joining hands to build a better society".
And that journey will certainly continue because on this beloved S-shaped strip of land, there are still unsteady feet when crossing the old bridge, young dreams yearning to take flight amidst difficulties and adversities,... The "Green" moonlight will always be present, accompanying, ready to share and persistently shine on the humane journey of Bach Viet Group.
