One UI 7 is the next major software update from the South Korean company. It comes with a redesign of Samsung's interface on Android. It is said to feature an improved Quick Settings panel separate from the notification bar, rounder corners in the UI, and new icons for Samsung apps.
Recently, Sammobile revealed that instead of launching this month, the update has been postponed until September. It is known that OneUI 7 beta will be released for Samsung's latest flagships, the Z Fold6, Z Flip6 and Galaxy S24.
Previously, Leaker Ice Universe shared some features of One UI 7.0 on Weibo. Accordingly, the next version of One UI will have new app icons, new wallpapers, and an improved control area at the bottom of the lock screen. Shortcuts on the lock screen now have larger icons.
The source also said that the notification area and quick settings panel can be merged if users want. OneUI 7 will have a pill-shaped animation that can show ongoing activities from more apps, along with a new animation when unlocking the device's screen.
Samsung is said to have added user-interruptable animations and has also improved app opening and closing animations.
Ice Universe also revealed that One UI7 supports sending and receiving SMS over 5G networks and also has new animations for notification pop-ups and closing animations.
Earlier reports indicated that OneUI 7 would be available in 7 countries at launch: South Korea, China, Germany, India, Poland, the US, and the UK. The update is expected to be released in stages, and as usual, users in South Korea, Germany, and the US will be the first to receive this test version.
