Attending the event were Mr. Nguyen Duc Tien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Elderly Association; Mr. Nguyen Duc Hao - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Thanh town.
In recent times, the Elderly Association at all levels in Hoa Thanh town has made many practical contributions to the socio-economic development process, lived exemplary lives, set good examples for children and grandchildren to follow, promoted their role in participating in protecting national security and building a strong grassroots political system .
In addition, the Elderly Association at all levels has also done a good job of caring for the elderly, mobilizing many resources from organizations, businesses, religions, and philanthropists; actively participating in social work, charity, and caring for the elderly in the locality better and better.
On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Elderly Association awarded the Medal "For the cause of caring for and promoting the role of the Vietnamese elderly" to 18 individuals and certificates of merit to 2 groups with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "Old age - Bright example" in 2024.
The Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 24 individuals who have made achievements in contributing funds to social security work; the emulation movement "Old age - Bright example" and participating in building the grassroots political system in the period 2021-2024.
