Peach blossoms in full bloom have been sold by traders in Ho Chi Minh City.

According to traders, the current price of flowers for Tet this year is the same as last year, however, depending on the market situation, there will be fluctuations up and down.

Mr. Duong Hung, owner of Thanh Tam flower shop, located in Dam Sen fresh flower market, said that he imported flowers for Tet sale a month ago. At this time, many people have come to Mr. Hung's shop to buy flowers to display for Tet early.

Snow plum is one of the flowers that many people love every Tet holiday.

“At my shop, the most popular flowers for Tet are snow mai and Sakura peach. Garden snow mai and peach cost from 100,000 to 130,000 VND/bunch, while wild snow mai costs from 40,000 to 60,000 VND/bunch. These flowers are imported from China and transported by plane to Ho Chi Minh City,” said Mr. Hung.

According to Mr. Hung, these flowers can be displayed for 15-20 days. The care is also quite simple, just put the flowers in a vase and change the water every 2 days. If you combine it with misting the branches, it will be even better because the flowers will bloom faster.

Currently, Sakura peach blossoms cost from 100,000 - 130,000 VND/bunch.

In addition, willow bouquets with various colors such as red, pink, orange, yellow, green... are also chosen by people to display during Tet. Currently, a willow bouquet at Mr. Hung's shop costs 70,000 VND.

Currently, the price of snow plum ranges from a few tens of thousands of VND to more than 100,000 VND/bunch, depending on the type.

Holding a bouquet of peach blossoms and snow mai flowers to admire, Ms. Nguyen Phi Yen, who works on Phu Tho Hoa Street (Tan Phu District), shared: “Every week I come here to buy flowers to arrange. Today I chose peach blossoms and snow mai flowers because Tet is coming soon, so I bought them to decorate with the atmosphere. Buying early will give you more choices, the flowers will be more beautiful, but waiting until close to Tet will be very crowded. I think the current prices are cheap.”

Bouquets of willow flowers with many bright colors

At Ho Thi Ky flower market, vendors have also sold peach blossoms and snow mai flowers to serve people's early Tet decoration needs. Mr. Huynh Cam Tu, owner of Hang Nga fresh flower shop in Ho Thi Ky flower market, shared that his shop is currently selling a lot of pink peach blossoms, snow mai flowers and willow flowers. "A bunch of peach blossoms currently costs 80,000 VND, snow mai flowers range from 60,000 - 120,000 VND. This price will fluctuate up and down depending on the time. This year the price is still the same but the quantity sold is not as much as last year," said Mr. Tu.

According to shop owners, currently, flowers for Tet decoration have begun to be sought after by buyers.

According to Mr. Tu, these flowers are transported to Ho Chi Minh City by both car and plane.

Also at Ho Thi Ky flower market, Phan Thi Phuong Uyen (22 years old), an employee at Thuan Trinh flower shop, said: "These days, we only sell a little bit, there are not many customers. This type of snow mai flower can be displayed for about half a month," Uyen said.
