At the meeting, artist Kim Duc shared: "Fine art is culture. Fine art exchange is to enhance cultural understanding between countries, creating a foundation for socio-economic cooperation and people-to-people exchange. Nowadays, fine art is considered the soft power of a country in international integration."
Artist Kim Duc presented a printed copy of the painting "Future Shell" to Chairman Kwang Soo Lee.
The artist hopes to connect Vietnamese artists with the Association of International Artists through practical and meaningful artistic activities.
Also on this occasion, artist Kim Duc presented Chairman Kwang Soo Lee with a print of the painting Future Shell with the message of protecting nature against climate change that the world is suffering.
Chairman Kwang Soo Lee also expressed his interest and acknowledged the creativity of Vietnamese artists. He hoped that in the future, when Vietnam joins the Association, it will be an opportunity for artists to enhance their status, be encouraged to develop their careers and at the same time actively participate in activities to improve life, bringing great spiritual values of art.
The International Association of Artists - IAA/AIAP is a non-governmental organization of artists working in painting, sculpture, printmaking and other forms of creative work in the visual arts. Since its establishment, Unesco has granted IAA/AIAP the status of a UNESCO Partner Association as a Consultative Association.
Currently, Mr. Kwang Soo Lee is the President of the International Art Association IAA/AIAP and he is also the 25th President of the Korea Art Association. The Korea Art Association has been making efforts for many years to develop the arts in Korea, including representing the rights and interests of artists, improving the creative environment, implementing welfare policies, and discovering young and emerging artists.
