Hoa Minzy revealed "Picky"
This is not the first time Hoa Minzy has brought folk sounds and images of the North into her music products. Previously in 2015, Hoa Minzy first made a splash with "What to Eat" which is full of Kinh Bac culture.
It was not until 2022 that Hoa Minzy invested heavily in the product "Thi Mau" - a song based on the story of Quan Am Thi Kinh that many people know. The song "Thi Mau" helped Hoa Minzy win the 29th Mai Vang Award - 2023 organized by Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper.
Following the success, Hoa Minzy released "Picky" as a work with the desire to maintain, promote and convey the beauty of folk music following the MV "Thi Mau".
Talking about the theme "Picky" for this project, Hoa Minzy shared that this year's Tet holiday also coincides with Valentine's Day, which is the time when people pray for love in the new year. Through this song, Hoa wants to tell everyone to choose the right love to have complete happiness.
"Picky" is about a girl in spring who wears a floral dress to a festival to pray for love. Even though she has met the man she loves, as a woman she still keeps her dignity waiting for him to propose.
Hoa Minzy continues to exploit folk elements in her new product.
"The song has a folk melody and a bit of incense, creating a sacred atmosphere of the festival and also the excitement of the Lien Anh Lien Chi during the festival. The song I wrote is more suitable than Hoa's melodious and graceful voice, and more especially, Hoa is also a son of Bac Ninh . So the two brothers don't have to say much, just look at each other a few times and smile to form a bond" - young musician Tuan Cry shared.

When two Bac Ninh children collaborated in the product "Ken ca chon canh", it was a harmony of music and materials in this product. This is also the beginning of a series of music projects of Hoa Minzy for 2024 - in the series of 10 years of artistic activities.
