Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 Nguyen Thi Ngoc Chau has just promoted the opportunity to experience the art of pottery making with the Cham people in Ninh Thuan.
Miss Ngoc Chau is honored to become the Media Ambassador for the Ceremony to receive the UNESCO Certificate of Recognition for "Cham Pottery Art on the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding" and the Ninh Thuan Grape - Wine Festival in 2023.
Cham pottery art is an intangible cultural heritage closely associated with folk performing arts, customs, beliefs, and traditional festivals of the Cham people.

According to Ngoc Chau, the appeal of Cham pottery lies in the secret of passing down the craft and quintessence of pottery making among family members, passed down from generation to generation.
Cham pottery is not made using a wheel to create its shape, but mainly relies on the skillful hands of the artisan to breathe life into the clay. This is a unique feature that demonstrates the sophistication and diligence of Cham women.
Traditional motifs include spiral jagged lines, plant patterns... created from seashells and daily living tools of the people.
The beauty happily shared: "Being recognized by UNESCO will create more money for Ninh Thuan province and its people to have more opportunities to develop community tourism based on intangible cultural heritage, contributing to ensuring the lives of the people, while preserving and promoting the unique cultural values of the Cham people here."
On this occasion, Miss Universe Vietnam also had the opportunity to visit and experience making Cham pottery with the Cham ethnic people at Bau Truc Pottery Village.
Bau Truc pottery village has been maintained to this day thanks to the passing on of secrets and pottery making quintessence among family members, from generation to generation.
Ngoc Chau believes that with the charm and extremely beautiful cultural value of Cham pottery, it will increasingly attract tourists from near and far, thereby promoting tourism development with traditional craft villages of Ninh Thuan.
