Miss Mai Phuong lost the chance to go straight to the top 40 of Miss World 2023

Miss Mai Phuong represents Vietnam at Miss World 2023. This year's contest takes place in India and brings together 116 contestants from around the world.

The beauty and the contestants have just gone through the Head to Head competition. This can be said to be one of the important rounds at Miss World. This year, the contestants will prepare videos to share their views on the topic they have chosen.

Mai Phuong is confident in the speaking contest.

In this round, Mai Phuong chose the topic “Sustainable Development”. The beauty queen shared that she is a young girl who loves volunteering. She feels happy when she can share and bring joy to those in difficult circumstances. However, she is only a small individual, so she needs the contribution of many other people in the community.

Mai Phuong believes that sustainability in helping others can help us overcome all challenges, and that is also the goal of sustainable development. Therefore, Mai Phuong and CEO Pham Kim Dung co-founded “Yako By MaiPhuong” - a non-profit fashion brand.

By selling t-shirts, she can generate independent resources and use them for her charity work.

Her smart and coherent presentation helped Mai Phuong make it into the top 25 of this round. However, it is a pity that Mai Phuong was not in the top 5 best presenters.

The top 5 performers in this round include representatives from Lebanon, England, Botswana, Nigeria, and Zimbabwe. These girls will be given special permission to enter the top 40 of Miss World 2023 in the final round.

Although not in the top 5 best people in this category, the Vietnamese representative still maintained an optimistic spirit and good energy to prepare for the next competitions.

Currently, Mai Phuong is keeping a good spirit in the competition. With her fluent English communication ability, she left many impressions on the international audience.

The Miss World 2023 final will take place at 9:00 p.m. (Vietnam time) on March 9, the program will be broadcast on VTV9 channel.
