Since the age of 19, Jennifer Colon has been known when participating in the Miss Teen Puerto Rico 2006 contest. 2 years later, Jennifer Colon went straight to Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2008 and became 1st runner-up. After that, Jennifer Colon switched to participating in the Miss World Puerto Rico 2009 contest and won the Miss crown, continued to participate in the Miss World 2009 contest but did not achieve a high ranking.
Jennifer Colon is married and has three children. In 2021, she divorced and became a single mother. In 2024, she returned to the Miss Universe Puerto Rico arena, won the highest title and a ticket to participate in the Miss Universe 2024 contest.
