(To Quoc) - On the evening of November 12, in Japan, Miss Vietnam 2022 Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy (22 years old, from Da Nang) excelled over 75 contestants to win the Miss Intercontinental 2024 crown. The titles of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th runner-up respectively belonged to contestants from Bolivia, Spain, Venezuela, and Indonesia.
In the top 8 behavioral round, Miss Thanh Thuy received the question: "What is the most important global event that has affected your generation's education system?".
The new Miss Thanh Thuy confidently answered in English, with a calm demeanor: "I think it is the immersion of the global education system in the Covid-19 pandemic. Because of Covid-19, we have to stay at home and study online. So is Edtech (application of technology in education) a change for the development of education? I hope students have more opportunities to explore and learn through Edtech because this is the fourth item in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), aiming for equality in education".

The moment Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy was crowned Miss International 2024
Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy was born in 2002, from Da Nang, 1.76 m tall. Before being crowned Miss International 2024, Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy won the title of Miss Vietnam 2022, Miss University of Foreign Languages - Da Nang University, 1st Runner-up of the Da Nang City Elegant Students Contest 2021. Thanh Thuy is currently studying at two schools: University of Foreign Languages (Da Nang University), Greenwich University Vietnam.
Miss International 2024 is one of the three major beauty pageants in the world (along with Miss World and Miss Universe), first held in 1960 and held annually in Japan. The 62nd season finale will take place on November 12 in Tokyo. Andrea Rubio, from Venezuela, will crown the new Miss Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy.
