Miss Sea Vietnam 2024 wraps banh chung with union members and youth

(NLDO) - The activity of wrapping Chung cakes in Tan Binh district, Ho Chi Minh City not only makes the Lunar New Year 2025 warmer but also spreads a meaningful spirit of sharing.

On January 11, Tan Binh District Youth Union (HCMC) coordinated with the Vietnam Aviation Academy Youth Union and its sister units to organize the program "Thousands of green Chung cakes" in 2025. This is a meaningful activity within the framework of the 17th Spring Volunteer Campaign.

Accordingly, the program "Thousand Green Banh Chung" 2025 was organized to preserve and honor the traditional cultural values ​​of the nation, especially the custom of celebrating Lunar New Year. Here, union members and young people were introduced to the tradition of wrapping Banh Chung during Tet and given detailed instructions on how to wrap the cakes properly.

Not only participating in research, Miss Sea Vietnam 2024 Nguyen Hoai Linh and members and youth from Tan Binh District Youth Union, Vietnam Aviation Academy Youth Union and other units joined hands to wrap more than 480 banh chung.

These banh chung will be presented by the Volunteer Spring Campaign Command to union members, youth, and workers at 3 youth worker accommodation areas; environmental sanitation workers in Tan Binh district; and union members and students in difficult circumstances.

At the event, Associate Professor Dr. Adam John Voak, Lecturer at Vietnam Aviation Academy, expressed his excitement at participating in this activity for the first time in Vietnam. He shared that this experience not only helped him understand more about Tet culture but also left a deep impression on the meaning and way of wrapping Chung cake.

Miss Sea Vietnam 2024 Nguyen Hoai Linh said: "This is a meaningful program, an opportunity to exchange with members and youth of units such as District Youth Union, Vietnam Aviation Academy Youth Union, besides that, it is also an opportunity for me to understand and love more about Vietnamese traditions and culture".
