The 1996 runner-up of Miss Hanoi has just made a remarkable comeback at the 2025 Capital Alumni Gala at the old University of General Sciences, now the University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, gathering more than 100 artists including bands, singers and models of the 7X generation.

The performance of the "queen models" including Bang Giang in the "Golden" ao dai collection by designer Anh Thu received enthusiastic cheers from the audience.

“30 years after my first camping trip as a student at the school yard, I am standing here, having a great time with my 7x generation friends. My feelings can only be described as wonderful - like returning to the age of 18 and burning brightly” - the beauty shared with VietNamNet after the program.

Before that, when accepting the invitation from designer Anh Thu, Miss Hanoi was a bit worried because she was old and also obsessed with being fat. "It's been 20 years since I've been on stage for a fashion show, it's been a long time since I've worn high heels, I'm afraid if I can't perform it will affect everyone. In addition, I'm currently living in Vung Tau so I have to arrange my housework to participate in the program" - the beauty shared.

But right after that, she was encouraged that as artists and models age, so do the audiences, so there is no need to be afraid.

''On the night of the gala, my group and I were so emotional because the weather turned cold and it was raining heavily, but the audience still stood and cheered enthusiastically. After nearly 30 years, I was able to stand on stage at the school I used to attend, so I had many emotions. I was as excited as the first day of school and met old friends" - Bang Giang shared about the memorable performance.

After being crowned, the beauty got married and had a son. However, her first marriage was not perfect. Although life forced her to go through many experiences and ups and downs, she always had to face it with the most optimistic spirit.

Bang Giang is currently enjoying a happy family life in Vung Tau with the man who came to her at the "right time".

“In Vung Tau, everything is peaceful, the pace of life is slower than in Hanoi, so there is a lot of time for myself and my family. My philosophy in life is to always give my all so that no matter what happens, I will have no regrets” - Miss Hanoi 1996 said.

Spending her free time exploring herself in the fields she loves, Bang Giang comes to painting, drawing, learning to play the piano, dancing and even baking.

“I study things I love that I didn’t have the opportunity to explore when I was young. And strangely enough, I find myself going further than I thought.

My son probably inherited his mother's genes and also loves art. After studying abroad, he returned to live in Hanoi and is currently working as a video producer and editor for a number of game companies. My son also likes to learn more about music and movies. Overall, my current life is fulfilling and happy because I am loved by many people" - the beauty said.
