In this match, coach Diego Giustozzi created conditions for young players to try their hand, when for the first time, young goalkeeper Van Luong was put into the starting lineup, replacing two experienced goalkeepers Ho Van Y and Nguyen Van Tu. In addition, the team with three of the four less experienced players including Lam Toi, Cong Vien, Cong Dai was also tested with veteran Minh Quang.

Meanwhile, Kazakhstan entered the match with great determination to avenge their defeat in the first leg. Facing a mixed Vietnamese squad, the visitors quickly took the initiative and created great pressure. However, young goalkeeper Van Luong had a great performance with two impressive saves in the first 10 minutes of the match.
In the 7th minute, Van Luong blocked Kaibay Damir's dangerous shot. Three minutes later, he continued to close the angle well, blocking Abdumanapuly's narrow-angle shot. However, from a corner kick immediately after, Sagyndyrov unexpectedly opened the score for Kazakhstan with a direct shot. In the 12th minute, the away team doubled the gap after a quick counter-attack, ending with a diagonal shot from Pialy.
Faced with the instability in defense, coach Giustozzi sent Van Tu onto the field and adjusted the tactics. The change immediately took effect as the home team played more solidly, successfully blocking Kazakhstan's attacks, even when goalkeeper Higuita joined the attack.
In the 16th minute, after a successful corner kick defense, the Vietnam Futsal Team organized a sharp counterattack. Cong Vien sprinted from midfield, faced goalkeeper Higuita and finished delicately through his opponent's legs, reducing the score to 1-2.
In the second half, the Vietnam Futsal team entered the game with enthusiasm and quickly scored an equalizer. In the 23rd minute, from a well-coordinated sideline kick, Thinh Phat backheeled the ball for Manh Dung to finish close to the goal, tying the score at 2-2.
In the end, the second leg friendly match between the Vietnam Futsal Team and the Kazakhstan Futsal Team ended in a 2-2 draw. This match also concluded the series of 4 friendly matches of the Vietnam Futsal Team in April 2025. Coach Giustozzi and his team had 3 wins and 1 draw. These were all valuable tests for the Vietnam Futsal Team towards the 2026 Asian Futsal Qualifiers and the 33rd SEA Games.
