Hoa Binh province reduced the number of poor households by more than 9% after 4 years.

After four years of implementing comprehensive support policies, the poverty rate in Hoa Binh province has sharply decreased from 15.49% in 2020 to 6.59% at the end of 2024, equivalent to a reduction of over 9%. This is a remarkable achievement in the province's journey towards implementing the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction.

During the period 2021-2024, the total resources mobilized for the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction in Hoa Binh province reached over 740 billion VND. Of this, the central government budget accounted for the majority, at 732.6 billion VND. These resources were allocated to seven major project groups, including: infrastructure development in poor areas, livelihood diversification, agricultural production development, nutrition improvement, vocational education and employment development, housing support, communication and information, capacity building, and program monitoring. Specifically, Project 1, supporting infrastructure in the poor district of Da Bac, disbursed nearly 300 billion VND to invest in and maintain 489 public works projects.

Hoa Binh province aims to reduce the poverty rate to 5.31% by the end of 2025, striving for sustainable development and ensuring that no one is left behind.
